–Nikolas, to Emily.
Recaplet for Friday, June 15, 2007:
- Logan tells Lulu that Scotty suckered people in his town out of money and his family took the brunt of it. I’m guessing that there’s some truth to that story, but it makes me wonder if Logan knows that Scotty is his father.
- Nikolas argues with Emily and Alexis about taking revenger against Jerry 2.0.
- Carly convinces Jax that they should celebrate Father’s Day with Sonny. Jax says he’ll do it if Sonny agrees to it. Carly goes to ask Sonny, but encounters Kate instead. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I like Kate. Once I actually get the full recaps up, I think you will. They spar verbally until Sonny comes home and Kate leaves. Carly tells Sonny about her and Jax coming over. Sonny agrees to it reluctantly.
- Sonny thinks Jason should claim his son. Jason says it’s not that simple.
- Elizabeth’s in the park with Jake and Cam. Spinelli and Lulu visit for a bit, as does Sam. Everyone eventually leaves and when it’s time for Elizabeth and kids to leave, Jake ends up missing.

Georgie greets Maxie and 3oop with a good morning, then pointedly changes it to a good afternoon. Maxie asks if Mac asked about her. Georgie tells her that Mac pulled an all nighter so no. Maxie is glad that Georgie covers for her. Georgie feels like she was born covering for her. Maxie tells her she’s a great sister. Georgie says that even great sisters have their limits. There’s an order up so Georgie leaves to get it. Maxie tells 3oop she needs to do some sisterly damage control.
Lulu walks in, past Logan outside, and asks Mike about a room for rent. Mike: “Why is this place beginning to feel like a dorm?” Lulu says that Tracy dragged her back to the mansion to live but the Qs are driving her crazy. Maxie tells 3oop that if Lulu moves in, she’s spending all her time at 3oop’s. 3oop says he’s not complaining but Maxie doesn’t need to worry.
Logan comes in and asks Lulu if today is a day that she’s speaking to him. Lulu says it depends on whether or not he’s going to tell her what Scotty did to his family. She wonders if he was making it up when he said that Scotty messed with his family. Logan tells her that Scotty came into town like a hotshot businessman then bailed when things went south. His family took the brunt of the problems. Lulu asks why he didn’t tell her. Logan says it’s an Army thing, don’t show weakness. Scotty didn’t recognize him and he wasn’t going to advertise that he was from a gullible family. Lulu asks why they didn’t press charges. Logan uses the court hearing with Laura as an example of how Scotty gets away with stuff. He says there are better ways to get revenge.
3oop notices Maxie watching Lulu and Logan and comments that something big seems to be going on between her and Lulu. Maxie says it’s nothing. 3oop wonders if it’s Logan he should be worried about. Maxie gives him a “gross!” look and says that she was just thinking how those 2 deserve each other. 3oop says that Logan is too wild for Lulu. Maxie groans that 3oop better not join the Legion of Lulu Lovers.
TempRic comes in and orders coffee to go. Logan pulls out a wad of cash to pay Georgie for his and Lulu’s bill, plus Logan and Maxie’s and a tip for her. He leaves. Ric asks if Logan robbed a bank. Georgie says the rumor is that he’s working for Sonny. The theory on the boards is that Logan is working for Ric and is undercover in Sonny’s organization. And we all know what 3oop’s situation is. I’ll be interested to see how this all pans out.

Carly comments that she married the perfect man. He’s handsome, a savvy businessman, and good in bed. Jax points out that he can BBQ as well. Carlys all “wha?” He asks if she doubts him. Carly says that Sonny’s BBQing this weekend. Jax says that’s fine. They can have 2 BBQs and that his is better. Carly begs him not to turn this into a BBQ war. Jax assures her there won’t be a grilling war. He relents and says The Boys can go to Sonny’s and they’ll celebrate another time. Carly has a better idea. Since they’re an extended family, they’ll BBQ together. Jax thinks Sonny will never go for it. Carly wonders why not, since they all seem to be getting along. Jax thinks Sonny won’t like the idea. Carly asks that if she gets Sonny to agree to it, will he? Jax asks where they’ll celebrate. Carly says there. Jax looks put out by the idea.

Sonny says that Jason needs to do right by his son. Jason says Jake deserves a better life than he can give him and that he’s better off with Elizabeth and Lucky. Sonny asks if Jason wants his son to grow up living a lie. Jason says that Elizabeth and Lucky are a family. Sonny doesn’t care. Jason is a good dad, that’s evident by how he raised Michael. Jason says it’s complicated but Sonny says it isn’t. No one has the right to take his son away from him. Jason says that Elizabeth is afraid for Jake’s safety and he feels the same. He can’t guarantee that his son would be safe. Sonny says Jason would do everything he could. Jason says it’s not enough. He doesn’t want his child in constant danger and he doesn’t want the mother of his child always scared. He’s thought about this every day and what he’s doing is best. He wants his son to have the best possible life so he has to give him up. Sonny asks about shared custody, saying it’s worked for him and Carly. Jason points out that Carly isn’t afraid of Sonny’s life. Elizabeth can’t handle it. Sonny says that’s her problem, not his. Lucky is a nice guy but why should Jason’s son be his? Sonny says that Jason’s only doing this because Elizabeth asked him.
GH – 4th Floor
Elizabeth says it’s unfair that she gets to spend the day in the park with her boys while other people are locked away. Lucky tells her not to feel guilty and just enjoy it. She wonders how they got so blessed. Jake almost didn’t make it but Jason was there. She had to visit him to thank him. And now she’s going to go to the park to enjoy the day while he’s locked away and he deserves to be rewarded for all he’s done. Lucky tells her not to apologize for her feelings. He asks if she’s okay. She composes herself and says she is. She’s going to go be home later. Lucky leaves.

Sam says that she and Jason have been drifting apart. Amelia points out that his son with another woman is what’s causing it. Sam agrees and then says she can’t keep obsessing about Elizabeth’s baby. She has to do something. Amelia says she can’t do anything about Jake. Sam says that someone can be confronted: Jason, Elizabeth, possibly even Lucky. Amelia says she could, depending on what she wanted to accomplish. Sam says that what she wants is impossible. Amelia reminds Sam that Jason said he’d be happy with Sam without the baby. Sam knows but tells Amelia that she sees the look in his eyes when he sees Jake. Amelia says to tell the truth then. Sam says no, she has to keep things the way they are now. Amelia asks if she can live with that.

Nikolas tells Emily that she’s ignoring the fact that Jerry 2.0 could tear her life apart. Emily: “So your solution is to go after him?” Nikolas says it could give them leverage. Emily says that Jerry 2.0 has warned them. Nikolas says that Alexis is finding a way to help. Emily says Alexis doesn’t need to be involved. They just have to leave Jerry 2.0 alone. Nikolas can’t stand around like a helpless victim and let Jerry 2.0 call the shots. Emily says that Alan died because of Jerry 2.0 and she doesn’t want anymore trouble. Nikolas asks if she’s okay with being a hostage again. Emily says that if it means keeping her loved ones safe, then yes. Nikolas says he can take care of himself. Emily reminds Nikolas that Jerry 2.0 is a murderer and she doesn’t want Nikolas dead because of her. Nikolas says that he told Emily that Jerry 2.0 would drag her into this and yet she went with him anyways. Emily says that he was being poisoned and Jerry 2.0 said he would let Nikolas die so she had no choice. Nikolas said that she still signed her name to a document. Emily was trying to save his life. Nikolas points out that she’s his puppet again. Emily says that she’s just using her as an excuse and that violence only begets more violence. Nikolas says it’s the only language that Jerry 2.0 understands. Emily says that there’s peace right now because Emily is Jerry 2.0’s insurance. Nikolas wants justice for the people Jerry 2.0’s hurt. Emily states that Nikolas wants revenge. Nikolas is all “damn straight!” So…how exactly is what Emily did by going with Jerry 2.0 to keep Nikolas alive with the counteragent any different than what Nikolas is doing now with having Alexis use her legal prowess to get Emily exonerated while looking for Jerry 2.0 to bring him to some sort of justice.

Spinelli sees Lulu and closes the laptop. Lulu knows something’s up since he only does that when it’s something super secret. Spinelli tells her that he’s “Jackaling” something for Jason. Lulu asks since when does he not trust her? Spinelli says since her brother arrested Jason. Lulu says that’s Ric’s fault. Spinelli says her first loyalty is to her family and his loyalty is to Jason. Lulu doesn’t get why that matters. Spinelli says that they’re of 2 houses like the Montagues & Capulets, the Colonials and the Cylons, and the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Forces. Lulu’s all “huh?” Okay, I’m fine with Lulu not getting the Battlestar Galactica and Star Wars references because she’s not geeky, but every high school kid knows Romeo and Juliet. Spinelli says they’re star crossed lovers, er, friends and separated by fate. Lulu says that she considers Jason a friend too and that she promises not to reveal information that would get him convicted. Spinelli asks if she promises. She says she promises so he tells her about the digital recording.
Greystone
Carly comes in, calling for Sonny. Kate also enters from the back entrance at the same time. Carly asks why she’s there. Kate points out that she and Sonny are neighbors. Carly doesn’t think that gives Kate the right to wander around his house. Kate says she came over to thank him for his help. Carly thinks Kate is too old for the damsel in distress routine. Kate realizes that it infuriates Carly that Sonny was nice to her. Carly says that she doesn’t care what Sonny does with Kate. Kate tells her that the jealousy, while unfounded, is disconcerting because Carly’s supposed to be happily married to Jax. She wonders how Jax feels about Carly making up excuses to come over to be with him. Carly says that most divorced people with kids see each other ofen. Kate: “My mistake.” Carly tells her to leave. Kate points out the jealousy thing again. She wonders why Carly’s so threatened. Carly says she isn’t. Kate asks how she explains the monstrosity of a staute then, unless Carly thought the tacky statue was tasteful. Carly says she knew it was ugly and thought Kate deserved it for ignoring the injunction. Kate asks how that was any of Carly’s concern. Carly says that it affects her family. Kate thought that Jax was her family. And speaking of Jax, does he know Carly is there? Carly says yes and that Jax trusts her. Kate queries as to whether or not Jax cares that she gets so worked up over Sonny’s life. Carly says that Kate insulted The Boys and called them juvenile delinquents. Kate says she didn’t. She just wanted them to respect her property lines. Carly tells Kate to leave.

Alexis says that she’s looking for a way to get Emily out from Jerry 2.0’s thumb so they need to find him. Jax asks if she think he knows where Jerry 2.0 is. Alexis tells him to do what’s right. Jax says the last time he saw Jerry 2.0, he was in his McRoom. The next day, the window was smashed. Alexis asks if Jax thinks Jerry 2.0 might still be alive. Jax says the evidence against Emily hasn’t been turned over so yes but where Jerry 2.0 is, he doesn’t know. Alexis tells Jax to find Jerry 2.0 before Nikolas does.

Emily says she doesn’t need Nikolas to save her and she’s fine with leaving things as-is. Nikolas can’t. Emily points out that nothing has gone Jerry 2.0’s way so he’s scrambling. Nikolas says that Jerry 2.0 hurts people for fun. Emily thinks it’s different know because Jerry 2.0 has reconnected with his family. He’s in the worst mess and he doesn’t want it to affect Lady Jane or Jax. Nikolas laughs and can’t believe that Emily thinks that Jerry 2.0 has rediscovered his humanity. Emily says that it’s possible that he loves Jax enough to keep the peace. Nikolas doesn’t believe that and he doesn’t think Jax does either.
PCPD – Interrogation Room #1
Jason does want his son with him but it’s not about him. He’s handling it the best way he can. Sonny asks about Sam. Is Jason willing to stay with her to keep the secret? Sonny isn’t sure that Sam is the person Jason thinks she is.
In the Squad Room, Diane walks past Mayor Floyd and he stops her to tell her that he’s recommended no bail for Jason. Diane tells him not to politicize this case or he’ll regret it. She walks in to the interrogation room and tells Jason that she might be able to get him out of there tonight.

Elizabeth and Her Boys are settled in when Lulu and Spinelli show up. Spinelli hangs back out of respect for their boundries. Elizabeth tells him that Lucky was just overreacting and it’s okay if he wants to hold Jake. Lulu helps him and Spinelli is holding Jake when Sam shows up. She smiles at Spinelli holding Jake and mentions how tickled Jason would be to see this. Sam says she didn’t know Spinelli liked babies. He admits he never held one before. Sam says that Jake sure gets a lot of attention and always stays so calm. Elizabeth says he gets his calmness from her. I can’t believe the show tries to allude to the fact that baby Jake has inherited Jason’s stoicness. That’s not something that was written into his genetic code and happened after Jason’s accident so it’s unlikely the baby would inherit that particular trait. Medicine, law enforcement and mob activity are so sketchy on this show. Sam leaves to go finish her walk excepts she circles back around and watches everyone from behind some trees. Elizabeth asks Spinelli if Sam talks about having a baby. Spinelli says yes but Jason doesn’t. Elizabeth thinks that’s too bad. Spinelli does too since he thinks Jason would make an awesome dad. Lulu decides it’s time to leave and makes up an excuse about a summer school project she and Spinelli are working on. They leave.

Emily doesn’t want Nikolas avenging her. Nikolas asks about the other people that Jerry 2.0 will hurt in the future. Emily says that they can’t speculate. Nikolas knows Jerry 2.0 will use the leverage against her because he can. Alexis comes in and tells them that she spoke to Jax and he’ll use his resources to find Jerry 2.0. Emily asks if Jax will tell her if he finds Jerry 2.0 Alexis believes he will. She begs Nikolas to leave it alone and let Jax be the one to find Jerry 2.0. Nikolas: “And then what? Jax tells Jerry 2.0 to leave and he goes scott-free.” Emily tells Nikolas to stay out of it. Nikolas tells them that they’re both forgetting who Jerry 2.0 is and he’ll handle this on his own. Alexis knows he wants revenge but there are consequences to going after Jerry 2.0. Emily agrees. Nikolas could be the one who is ruined in the end.
PCPD – Interrogation Room #1
Amelia comes in to see Jason. She says that she’s gotten the production schedule for the show and needs to start ordering crew and equipment, but she wants to know if they’ll be a show and if she’ll have a host before she starts spending the network’s money. Jason tells Amelia to ask Sam. Amelia wants to know if Jason’s going to confront her about everything. Jason wants to know what she’ll do if he does. Amelia says Sam might have a meltdown. Jason says Sam deserves to know the truth. Amelia asks why he thinks that since Sam hasn’t been truthful with him. Jason says that as he understands it, if he keeps quiet, the show stays on the air. Amelia says she’s torn because on one hand, the show is successful, but on the other, Sam needs to pay for what she’s done. Jason says that his relationship with Sam is between him and Sam. Amelia points out that he thinks Sam loves him, but she doubts Sam is capable of love. She’d rather keep playing on his guilt rather than lose him to Elizabeth. Jason says he’s the one who chose to give up his son. Amelia asks if he can live with that decision. Jason tells her to spend the money on her show.
Greystone
Kate tells Carly she’s embarrassing herself again. Carly says she’s not the one walking around the house of a man she barely knows. In fact, she and Sonny have nothing in common. Kate wonders how Carly is so certain of this. Carly says that Sonny’s from a place called Bensonhurst. Kate says she’s heard of it. Carly says that she and Sonny had to fight for everything they have. They weren’t born with a silver platter. I’m wondering if that was a deliberate line from the writers or if the writer doesn’t know the saying. It’s either “born with a silver spoon” or “handed it on a silver platter.” I could see Carly messing that idiom up but because she’s not as educated as others, but I’m more likely to think that the writers don’t know shit. Kate says she didn’t get to be Editor in Chief by being hice. Carly says she doesn’t think Kate has a clue on how to fight dirty. Kate says Carly would be wrong. Carly insinuates that all the “inconveniences” Kate has had will be nothing compared to what could happen. Kate asks if Carly’s threatening her. Sonny comes in and asks what’s going on. Kate says that Carly’s threatening her property. Carly says Kate is overreacting. She tells Sonny to buy Kate out and then build a pool, grotto, whatever. Kate says her property isn’t for sale and leaves. Sonny asks if he should put in a pool. Carly doesn’t care, as long as it sends Kate back to NYC. Sonny says Kate’s not so bad. Carly can’t believe Sonny would say that. Kate ignored the injunction and yelled at The Boys. Sonny says that he and Kate have squared everything away so what business is it of Carly’s? Carly protests a little too much that she doesn’t care. Sonny wants to know why Carly’s there. Carly wants Jax to come along to the BBQ. Sonny points out that it’s Father’s Day. Carly says that Jax is their stepdad. Sonny says Jax can have his own thing with The Boys. Carly says it’s crazy to make The Boys have 2 separate events. It would be a nice gesture and show The Boys that they’re all getting along. Sonny asks if Jax agreed to this. Carly says that Jax is okay with it if Sonny’s okay with it. Sonny agrees. Carly thanks him and leaves.

Lulu tells Spinelli he’s out of his mind. He almost spilled the beans to Elizabeth that they knew. Spinelli tells Lulu she’s being a tad paranoid. Lulu says that he talks too much sometimes, no offense. He talks to fast and then gets excited and words come out. Spinelli points out that he’s trustworthy and has never revealled any secrets. What? Dude tells Lulu every secret he finds out. Lulu knows this but he sometimes stands on the brink and she had to pull him back. Spinelli thinks it would be better if the truth came out. Lulu wants to know how it would be better for Jake if Jason is in prison. Spinelli says Jason won’t always be in prision. Lulu says the evidence seems pretty good. It’s circumstantial at best, especially as there’s no body. Not to mention the fact that a tape recording is inadmissible as evidence anyways AND I’m betting that forensics didn’t find any fingerprints on the tape recorder that proves it’s Alcazar’s anyways since Ric the moron DA wiped the recorder and a uniformed cop with no gloves on touched it. Again, the way law and law enforcement is protrayed on this show is a joke. Spinelli says Alcazar had it coming. Lulu isn’t arguing that point but if Jason does get out, he’ll still be a hitman. That’s not prime father material. Spinelli says that regardless of Jason’s job, he and Jake need each other. He says that he should prove his friendship to Jason by telling the truth. Lucky comes around the corner and asks what truth would Spinelli be telling. Lulu covers and says that Spinelli wants to tell Dillon and Milo that she’s her boyfriend. Spinelli points out that she’s called him that before. Lulu grits her teeth and admits that she did but they’ve discussed it and it’s not true. They’re just friends. Spinelli says he can wait. He stands off in the distance. Lucky wants Lulu to be at the house for his first official Fathe’rs Day celebration.

Carly comes in and tells Jax that Sonny’s okay with them going to his BBQ. Jax halfheartedly agrees that it’ll be a great way to spend the day. Carly points out that it’s for The Boys and this Father’s Day celebration will cement the fact that they’ve all moved on.
PCPD – Squad Room
Diane tells Mayor Floyd that he’s skating dangerously close to misconduct. Mayor Floyd guesses that bail was denied. Diane reminds Mayor Floyd that Jason is connected to some powerful people in Port Charles, namely the Qs and Jax, so Mayor Floyd could lose support if he doesn’t reconsider granting bail. She walks in to the interrogation room and tells Jason that bail was denied so he’s going to have to stay in lock up until the hearing would could be months. Jason wants to know if she can get him acquitted. Diane isn’t sure. Rumor on the boards is that Steve Burton is getting time off the show to go shoot a movie (a western) but I can’t find mention of it on IMDB. Also, the spoiler for this is that Jason makes a deal with Ric to get out of jail to go search for Jake. Along the way, something happens and Jason finds Jake but has to perfom community service, hence he’ll be doing janitorial duty at GH. And that’s how TPTB are getting him into Night Shift.

Elizabeth is playing with Cam and Jake, talking about Father’s Day and how excited Lucky is. Sam is being all stalker-y.

Kate comes storming over, mad as hell. She wants to know if Carly deliberately sabotaged her catering truck. Sonny has no idea what she’s talking about. Kate says she’s got a guest coming over and someone blew bits of leaves and grass all over the food that the catering company supplied. Sonny says he has lots of food so she and her guest can join him.
Park
Elizabeth is bundling up Her Boys to leave the park. She gets Jake all nice and comfy in his stroller. She turns away to help Cam tie his shoe and when she turns around, Jake is gone. She starts freaking.
