–Carly, to Lulu.
And with this episode, we are in to May Sweeps folks!
Recaplet for Thursday, April 26, 2007:
- I’ve decided that I don’t like Jamry as the new name for James Craig/Jerry Jacks so I’m just going to call him Jerry 2.0.
- Luke asks Sonny to be careful when seeking retribution against Alcazar that Skye doesn’t get hurt. Sonny can’t guarantee her safety if she puts herself in harms way.
- Carly’s pre-wedding:
1. she breaks a heel, breaks her compact, messes up her hair, freaks out.
2. Bobbie gives her something old. Lady Jane gives her something new. Lulu gives her something borrowed. Max provides the something blue.
3. Jason arrives back in town, goes to help Carly.
4. Patrick warns Emily that both Nikolas and Robin are at the wedding. Emily says she knows the truth and that they need to talk. Why are Nikolas and Robin at the wedding? Are they guests of Jax? I don’t see Jax inviting Nikolas, considering their history with Courtney and baby Spencer/John. And Carly wouldn’t invite Robin because she hates her. I guess Jax invited Robin, who brought Nikolas along as her date? And why would Nikolas show up for this wedding knowing that Alexis was going to be there after telling Alexis that he and Jerry 2.0 had a business meeting?

Jax is greeted by Marty, FDC, and 2 other staff. Marty says that on behalf of the staff, they want to wish him and Carly good luck. Jax thanks them and lets them get back to work. Jax asks Lady Jane if she’s heard from Jerry 2.0. Lady Jane says he won’t answer his phone.
Wyndemere – Study
Jerry 2.0 listens to his voice mail from Lady Jane. Alexis comes in. She guesses he didn’t get her message. Nikolas walks in. Alexis accuses him of not giving Jerry 2.0 her message. Nikolas says it slipped his mind. Alexis says she was just explaining to Jerry 2.0 that she’s Jax’s Best Person and she doesn’t need an escort but she feels pressured to bring one anyways. Jerry 2.0 apologizes and says that he’d want to but he can’t. He and Nikolas have a conference call. He hopes that Alexis has a good time. Alexis: “I will. [pause] If I drink heavily. [pause] Because she really is a dreadful woman.” Alexis leaves. Jerry 2.0 asks who Jax and Carly are. Jax says that they’re the co-owners of McHotel. Jerry 2.0 figures Sonny and Carly for a destiny couple. Nikolas says they probably have their own sociopath keeping them apart.
Not Starbucks – Office
Sonny pulls out the bottle of booze. He puts it away when he hears The Boys. He asks them what they’re doing there. They tell him that they’re not going to the wedding. Sonny tells them that they’ve got to stop contesting this divorce. Carly will marry Jax. Michael says that they’re fine with Jax being their stepdad. They just don’t want Sonny to be alone today. Sonny appreciates their concern but tells them that the day is about their mom. He sends them on their way.
Penthouse
Jason walks in. Spinelli, in Jason’s tux (but with a bow tie), pops out and is glad to see him. Jason asks what’s with the getup. Spinelli says that he had to stand in for Jason yesterday at the rehearsal and so he’s preparing to stand in for him again today, just in case. Jason says he forgot about the rehearsal. Spinelli says that he had them worried that he might be road kill because of some narcoleptic trucker. Jason says he left a note. Spinelli says that everyone thinks he needed to clear his head because of Alan but he knows that’s not the truth. Jason sits down and tells Spinelli that he doesn’t want to go through it again. Spinelli urges Jason to at least tell Sam. Jason says that it’s better this way. Spinelli wonders who it’s better for.
Bridal Room I can’t tell if that’s Carly’s room or not. It looks like her room at the Cottage but when you open the door to her room, there looks to be a tree in the background and I’m not sure she has that kind of foliage in her hallway.
Carly is trying to get ready. She hallucinates that Sonny is there, begging her not to go through with it. There’s a knock on the door. She thinks it’s Jason but it’s Lulu. She’s there to help since Jason can’t. I’m not sure what Carly expected Jason to do. It’s not as if he was going to help her with her hair or makeup or be there when she got the old, new, borrowed and blue stuff. Carly starts freaking out about her hair, jewelry, etc. Lulu tells her to calm down. Lulu will make her into walking perfection. Carly’s all “you can do that?” Lulu says yes. Carly breathes deep and says that her day will not be ruined. She accidentally knocks her compact off the dresser and the mirror breaks.
Q Mansion – Den
Edward is grumbling about having to go to the wedding. Ned is there in his tux. He says they have to since Jax is a major ELQ shareholder. Luke comes in and Edward grumbles at him about having to go to the boring events just like the rest of them. Luke says he didn’t know it was opera season already. Ned reminds Luke that his niece Carly is getting married. Luke says that he and Carly don’t get along so he’s not going. Alice says that if Luke goes, she’ll be his date since Tracy is out of town. Luke appreciates it but he’s still not going to go. The Qs wonder is Skye will be there. Probably not since there’s been friction between Alcazar and Sonny. Luke hears this and heads out.
Rice Manor
Elizabeth and Lucky are the first ones there. They discuss their own wedding. Lucky then gives Elizabeth a necklace (which ABC and Sears will be schilling in every other commercial during this episode and I’m willing to be every episode until the wedding’s over.) to celebrate their 37 days of wedded bliss. Gag!
Not Starbucks – Office
Jason comes in to see Sonny. They talk about Carly. Sonny is grateful that Jason will be there. Jason asks if Sonny is okay with all this. Sonny answers truthfully and says no.
Bridal Room
Lulu is finished. Carly’s hair looks fabulous. Carly says it feels wrong. Lulu asks Carly if she’s having 2nd thoughts. Carly isn’t. She meant the hair feels wrong. Lady Jane and Bobbie come in. They give the traditional “before the wedding” bridal gifts. Bobbie gives Carly a bracelet that she bought with the money she earned as a surgical nurse (something old). Lady Jane gives Carly a pretty black nightgown (something new) and says it’s a Jax tradition to give lingerie on the wedding day. Lulu loans Carly Laura’s ring (something borrowed). No one has something blue. There’s a knock on the door. It’s Max. Carly asks if Sonny sent him. He says no. He’s there to wish Carly well and give her a card. He’s not sure if he should call her Mrs. C or Mrs. J now. Carly: “Just call me Carly.” Lulu spies a blue handkerchief in his pocket and the ladies pull him into the room to celebrate the something blue. Carly gives him a couple kisses on the cheek, which flummoxes him. Bobbie tells him that they need to help her get dressed so he needs to go. Carly sends them all away, saying that she needs some alone time. They leave. The heel on her shoe breaks.
Rice Manor
Jax and Alexis meet up. Alexis (Looking fabulous, I might add.) tells Jax it’s not too late to change his mind. Jax says he appreciates her being there even though she’s sick. He asks how she’s feeling. She says she’s fine but her pride is a little hurt since she asked someone to be her date but he was intent on not being at the wedding.
Wyndemere – Study
Jerry 2.0 listens to his voice mail. It’s Jax, saying he wants his big brother there at his wedding.
Not Starbucks – Office
Sonny reaches in his desk drawer for the bottle again, but puts it away. He calls out for Vinnie to make him a cappuccino. Luke tells Vinnie to make it two. Luke figures Sonny wouldn’t be at the big wedding. They talk a bit about Alcazar. Sonny admits that Alcazar might be in a little bit of trouble soon. Luke asks Sonny to leave Skye out of it. Sonny says he can’t guarantee her safety if she puts herself in harm’s way. Sonny agrees that today would be a good day for Alcazar to die, but it’s not just any day so nothing will happen today. He says he envied Luke’s relationship with Laura. Luke says that with one look, Laura had him. He has a good thing with Tracy, but if things had worked out, he would’ve spent his life with Laura. Sonny says that he never realized that Carly was the love of his life. Luke commiserates for a moment and then gets back to the task at hand. Luke: “I know there’s a war coming. I want to make sure that you know who your enemies are and who’s just left standing in the crossfire.”
Bridal Room
Carly is in the closet, looking for another pair of shoes. This is why I think she’s at her own home, but again, the big tree outside her door confuses me. She finds broccoli inside one of her shoes. ew. She can’t find what she’s looking for so she gets up and goes back to her vanity. Her hair has escaped the confines of the bobby pins. She’s frantically trying to get her hair back into place but it’s not working. There’s a knock at her door. She yells at the person to go away. It’s Jason. She opens the door and cries into his arms. She tells him that he has to go stop the wedding. He won’t do it. Carly starts freaking out about marrying Jax. Jason tells her to calm down and count to ten. She does. She looks in the mirror and doesn’t know where to start to fix things.
Rice Manor
Nikolas walks in and pours some champagne. Robin walks up to him, apologizes to him, and then kisses him. He says he understands. Nikolas tells Robin that he had to tell Emily the truth because she confronted him on the landing. Alexis walks up and tells Nikolas that this just proves that he lied to her. She tells him to give her best to Jerry 2.0.
Alice asks Monica if she’s okay. Monica misses Alan.
Patrick pulls Emily away from Max and Lucky. He warns her that Nikolas and Robin are there. Emily says she knows the truth. Why is Patrick there? He’s not anyone’s date. He wasn’t even a part of the hostage crisis, at least not directly.
Dillon: “I thought I spelled orange soda and bbq chips.” He asks why Spinelli is there. Spinelli says that he’s a featured player and Dillon is just an extra. I love how Spinelli uses Dillon’s own verbage against him! Milo tells them both to cool their jets or else Lulu will kick them to the curb. Speaking of which, Lulu picks that moment to walk in and the 3ooges all get slack-jawed over her.
Not Starbucks – Office
Sonny pours a drink. He stares at the picture of The Family. He takes a drink.
Bridal Room
Carly’s hair is done. I liked the way Lulu did it better. Jason has to zip her up. He’s reluctant to do so, but does it anyways. She tells him to look in her top drawer while she touches up her makeup. He opens the drawer and recoils. “Oh no, it’s all underwear.” Carly’s all “Duh. It’s where the garter is.” Jason reluctantly shifts through underwear to find the garter. He then has to put it on for her, which he does with his head turned away. I’m glad to see that she found some nice shoes to go with a white dress. She’s ready to go. He grabs her veil and they go. The whole scene is quite funny and I laughed out loud when Steve Burton physically stepped back from the drawer, like it was full of something completely repugnant.
Rice Manor
3ooges admire Lulu. She does likewise with them. She wants to speak with Spinelli alone. She asks about Jason. Spinelli reassures her that Jason showed up. Lulu hugs him. Dillon and Milo object to the hug. Lulu leaves them arguing as she finds her real dates, Michael and Morgan. You don’t see them but you can hear Michael say “Uh…hi?” as Lulu walks away from the 3ooges.
Edward, Monica and Ned are talking. Edward doesn’t want to stay if Jason’s not going to be there. Ned sees Alexis and crosses the room to talk to her (passing the cluster of Lady Jane/Bobbie/Mike and Lucky/Elizabeth/Sam/Milo). They joke about the last time they were in an aisle together. Ned offers to be Alexis’ date for the wedding.
[commercial break]
Guests are seated.
Monica and Edward. He says Carly’s late. Monica wonders if Carly left Jax. Edward points out that Carly would learn from Sonny, since he left Brenda at the altar. So did Jax. The only person that went through with the marriage to Brenda was Jason.
Robin/Patrick/Max. Robin asks Max if he’s seen Jason. Max says no but the last time he saw Carly, she wanted to be alone.
Alexis/Jax. She tells him the crowd is getting restless. She’d offer to sing but she can’t. She thinks he should go say something. Jax says that wedding’s start late all the time. Alexis asks why wouldn’t Carly call if she was just running late?
Spinelli/Milo/Dillon (seated behind Lulu/Lucky/Elizabeth). Spineilli wonders if Carly changed her mind. Lulu tells him to have faith. Elizabeth gets up to get some air and stretch her legs. 3ooges start to fight for the seat. Lulu jumps up and sends them outside.
Lady Jane/Mike/Bobbie. Bobbie’s not supposed to be sitting on the same side as Lady Jane. She’s the mother of the bride and Lady Jane is the mother of the groom. Bobbie is worried about Carly. Lady Jane tells Bobbie to have a little faith. Mike says that if Sonny went over to see Carly and pulled out all the stops, there might not be a wedding.
Alexis/Jax/Rev. Wilson. Jax assures Rev. Wilson that Carly’s running a little late. Rev. Wilson takes his spot up front. Alexis tells Jax not to go up there but he does. Jerry 2.0 is watching from outside.
Carly and Jason arrive. Alexis: “Where have you been?! Never mind. If you had bailed on him, I would’ve come after you with a pitchfork!” Carly says she’s here now. Alexis gives Jax the thumbs up. She walks down the aisle. The Bridal March starts. Carly is ready and she and Jason turn and run right into Sonny.
