–Mr. Ochoa’s Thug #2, to Alcazar.

Recaplet for Friday, April 20, 2007:

  • Robin and Nikolas manage to stop CJC from throwing Patrick over a cliff, which he totally deserves for being such a dumb ass.
  • Carly and Jax tell Michael and Sonny that they’ve set a date for their wedding. It’s next Friday, just in time for May sweeps! Sonny congratulates them. Later, Sonny throws himself a Sixteen Candles pity party because no one remembered his birthday.
  • Some thugs from Mr. Ochoa’s organization (which I can only assume is another organization with whom Alcazar does business) have a chat with Alcazar. They know he’s faking. They decide to send a message to the Corinthos/Morgan organization by trapping Sam and Amelia and eventually Jason in the Everyday Heroes set and shooting at them.


Wyndemere – Bluffs
CJC drags Patrick to the edge of the bluffs. Robin runs up screaming and jumps on CJC but he pushes her off. Nikolas comes up behind Robin, jumps CJC and gets him in a head lock. Robin screams at Nikolas not to do anything to CJC. She cradles Patrick in her lap. Patrick is yelling at them to kill CJC but Robin and Patrick say no. CJC tells Patrick that for a brain surgeon, he’s pretty dumb. He’s got an insurance policy. Patrick says he doesn’t care what CJC has over them, he’s going to go to the cops. Robin says that if CJC gets caught, Nikolas will die. CJC explains about the poison and the counter agent. He says that Patrick’s interference has ruined things. Robin says that nothing’s been ruined. Patrick wants to know why he needs Nikolas. Nikolas says CJC needs his money and business contacts. Once CJC’s new identity is established, they can all go back to their lives. CJC snipes that no one can ever go back. foreshadowing? Patrick calls him a sick man. Nikolas tells CJC he wants another dose and this time before he passes out. CJC welcomes Patrick to the party and tells him to stay awhile. CJC and Nikolas leave.

Everyday Heroes Set
Amelia yells at Sam to look out. Sam looks up, sees the light about to fall, and jumps out of the way, just in time. The light falls and shatters. Amelia tells AArun to go find out who’s responsible for the lighting and fire them. Amelia asks Sam if she’s okay. Sam is. Amelia commends Sam on her natural instincts and says that the light hitting the floor sounded like a shotgun blast. Sam is a bit startled by that last statement. Amelia suggests sending everyone home. Sam is okay with continuing. She goes back to her rehearsal spot. AArun says the Lighting Director said the lights were set last night but when they just checked it now, the harness had been loosened. Amelia looks perplexed.

Spencer House
Elizabeth says the secret was supposed to be best for everyone. Jason says all that matters is what’s best for the baby. Elizabeth can see that he’s not okay with this. Jason asks if she’s changed her mind. She hasn’t. She laments that he’s saved her so many times and it’s what makes her love him more. Jason looks shocked. She realizes that she shouldn’t have said that. Jason wants to know why he can’t be a part of the baby’s life if she loves him. She says that Lucky is the man she’s loved for most of her life. Jason tells her not to feel guilty. Elizabeth says she needs to take responsibility for her part in this. Even though she loves him, they couldn’t make it work. He tells her that she just needs to take care of their baby. He leaves. Elizabeth cries on the couch.

Cottage
Michael and Sonny come in. Morgan is at Bobbie’s. Carly tells them that she and Jax have set a date, Next Friday. Michael points out that it’s soon. Carly says she and Jax have waited a while to get married. She sends Michael upstairs to get packed. Kenny Wilcox’s mom is coming to pick them up for their weekend camping trip. Aren’t The Boys grounded? I never got to go anywhere if I was grounded. And if something was pre-existing if I was ground? Oh well. Tough luck. Michael offers to stay in town and hang with Sonny this weekend. Sonny says it’s okay. Michael goes upstairs. Sonny wishes Carly good luck and leaves.

McRestaurant
Alcazar meets up with some Thugs (with very bad teeth). They work for an associate of Alcazar’s, Mr. Ochoa. TWBT #1 tells Alcazar to drop the act, they know he’s faking. TWBT #2 tells Alcazar that they’re here to do things the right way. Alcazar says that the job will get done. TWBT #1 says they’ve already sent a message to Corinthos and Morgan. That would be the light fixture almost falling on Sam. It’s hard to know these things since I don’t recap scene by scene most of the time..

Wyndemere – Bluffs
Patrick tells Robin they need to call the police. Robin tells him they can’t. Everything about the poison and counteragent is true. Patrick tells her that he’s mad at her, even as he’s hugging her. She doesn’t blame him. She had to push him away or risk him getting hurt. She hopes he can forgive her. Patrick says that he didn’t believe her. So, he’s an ass with a selective memory. Great.Robin loves him but he’s unpredictable and she couldn’t risk him hurting CJC because of the counteragent. She tells him that he cannot go crazy on CJC.

Everyday Heroes Set
Sam finishes taping a segment. Amelia talks to her about Phoenix. This makes Sam suspicious. Sam asks when the launch party is. Amelia says it’s May 11. Sam says that after the launch party, she’d like to have some time off to spend time with Jason. Amelia talks about momentum and whatnot. Sam says that they have a problem then.

Not Starbucks – Office
Sonny grabs the bottle of booze and then puts it back. Here’s an idea: get rid of the bottle so that you’re not tempted. Duh.Jason comes in and asks what’s going on. Sonny says nothing and then tells Jason he could ask him the same thing. Jason admits that he’s been thinking about dads and kids. Even if you’re not the bio-dad, you can still be a father. He never realized what it must be like for a dad to be shut out of his kid’s life. Sonny laments that he’s about to find out because Carly and Jax set the date for next Friday. How does Sonny think he’s going to be shut out? He has joint custody of the kids. Jason says that Carly’s moving fast. Sonny calls it vintage Carly. Do it fast so that you can’t change your mind. He tells Jason to be prepared because Carly’s like to make a mess of things and want Jason to help clean it up. Jason agrees. Jason asks what to do about Alcazar. Sonny says they need to be ready. He wants Jason to plan out a retaliation, make sure it’s not raceable to them, and then kill Alcazar.

Wyndemere – Study
CJC gives Nikolas the shot after they snit at each other a bit. Nikolas says he pegged CJC for a practical man but if CJC thinks that any of this plan will work, he’s living in a fantasy world. CJC tells Nikolas that he’ll recoup everything once CJC starts making money. Nikolas says he’ll never recoup what he’s lost. He reminds CJC that 3 people, plus the staff know that he’s there. Sooner or later, Sonny and Jason will find out and he’ll be a dead man. CJC points out that Nikolas will be too. Nikolas finds himself not caring. The world would be a better place without CJC in it. He thinks CJC should cut his losses and move on.

Cottage
Carly needs to get the papers to the County Clerk’s office. She and Jax discuss wedding plans. Carly needs a new dress since the old one is jinxed. Tons of flowers, which Bobbie will be handling. Jax offers to find a baker to make a peanut butter and chocolate cake, but Carly suggests a strawberry cake instead (because she already had the peanut butter and chocolate cake at her wedding with Sonny). Jax wants to invite Sonny because he wants closure. Carly thinks that’s a bit cruel. Jax has to leave to meet Alexis. He asks if Carly has a color scheme. Carly suggests bubblegum pink taffeta. Jax: “You are a cruel person.” Carly gives him the papers to drop off at the County Clerk’s office.

Not Starbucks – Office
Spinelli comes in. Jason wants a schematic for Alcazar’s house. Security, access points, everything. Spinelli says okay but then points out that a baby lives there too. Jason says he can get Stan to do it. Spinelli says he’ll do it. He then tells Jason that it hurts him to see Jason in pain. Jason doesn’t want to go down that road again. Spinelli again suggests telling Sam. He leaves.

Cottage
Carly is on the phone, trying to arrange a time to come in for a fitting for a dress. There’s a knock on the door. It’s Mrs. Wilcox to pick up Michael. They’ll be back on Sunday at 6pm. Carly goes back to the phone and looks at her planner. She realizes what day it is. She runs back to the door to try to stop Mrs. Wilcox but the car pulls away. Hello. It’s called a cell phone. I’m sure Mrs. Wilcox has one.

Spencer House
Lucky comes in, apologizing for having to work late. He couldn’t get to the repair shop to pick up Chugging Charlie. Elizabeth tells him that she and Cameron walked to get it. Lucky comments that it’s a big toy and asks how she got it home. She mentions that Jason helped her because they ran into him on the Pier. Lucky’s all “what’s up with running into Jason all the time?” Elizabeth explains that the Elm Street Pier is right next to the CorMor warehouses. Lucky says that maybe Jason feels like he has to protect her. Elizabeth manages a non-committal “maybe.” Lucky wonders if Jason would like to be the baby’s godfather. Elizabeth looks like she’s rather have Carly be the godmother.

Wyndemere – Study
Nikolas hangs up the phone. He tells CJC, who’s thumbing through a book, that the paperwork is on its way. Robin and Patrick come in. CJC asks if he should be expecting law enforcement. Patrick says no. Robin says that Patrick understands what’s at stake and won’t say anything. CJC says good and that there will be a change of plans.

McRestaurant
Jax meets with Alexis. He tells her the wedding is Friday. Alexis says she’s happy for him. He wants her to prove it by being his Best Person. Alexis agrees. She asks how small the ceremony will be. Jax ticks off a list: Jason (and presumably Sam), The Boys, The Spencers, Lady Jane, and the Qs. Alexis asks if Sonny will be there. Jax says Sonny can come if he’d like.

Not Starbucks – Office
Sonny’s having himself a little pity party in the office. He is sitting at his desk with only the desk lamp on looking at the family picture. He gets up, pours some water, takes a couple of pills. Carly walks in and apologizes for sending The Boys away this weekend since it’s his birthday.

Everyday Heroes Set
Everyone else is let go for the night. Amelia sits with Sam to try to hammer out a bit of time for her to spend with Jason. Sam apologizes for pulling a diva stunt but she needs to be with Jason. TWBT #1 and #2 show up. They tell Sam to give Jason a message for them. Amelia tells them to get out or she’ll call security. TWBT #2 isn’t scared by the threat. Sam tells them that there’s a better way to get a message to Jason. Jason comes in and is caught unawares. TWBT #1 tells him to drop his weapon. Jason puts his gun on the ground. Sam can’t believe they’d be dumb enough to try to kill them in a building with security cameras all around. TWBT #1: “Watch me.” Dude is sweating something fierce. Gross. He takes aim. Jason grabs Sam and pulls her behind a desk as TWBT #1 shoots.
