Recaplet for Friday, March 30, 2007:
Big fires going on here in Los Angeles (in fact, about 5 miles from where I live) so GH was pre-empted for fire coverage. Couldn’t catch the Friday 10pm Soapnet replay so will set vcr to tape the 3am replay. If someone doesn’t get Soapnet and their soap gets preempted, they just miss out, don’t they? That hardly seems fair.
Elm Street Pier
Jason tells Skye that he doesn’t blame her for the McHostage crisis but he can’t forgive or help Alcazar in any way. Skye calls him a hypocrite. Alcazar is struggling to figure out who he is after his accident. Jason had the same issues. Jason suggests that she take LilaRae and Alcazar and leave town then instead of trying to run a business she has no responsibility for running. Skye asks him to back off until Alcazar recovers. Jason won’t do it. Skye tells him that they’re family, but Jason says they aren’t when it comes to this. I don’t get how Skye thinks that she can use the “we’re family” card considering she didn’t know Jason before his accident. She came onto the scene long after Jason made his break from the Qs. I mean, unless something happened during the years I didn’t watch that I don’t know about.

Alcazar wants Sonny to back off of Skye. Sonny tells Alcazar to man up and quit hiding behind Skye. Alcazar denies he is. Sonny says that Alcazar’s father and brother would want him to finish the job and put another bullet in his brain for acting so cowardly. Alcazar tells Sonny to shut up. Skye comes in and tells Alcazar he shouldn’t be there. Sonny threatens Alcazar and says that he’ll be removed if he gets in the way. Skye asks Sonny how he can be so heartless since he went through something similar himself. Sonny tells Skye that her being a woman isn’t going to keep her out of harm’s way. If she’s handling Alcazar’s best interests, she’s part of the problem. Skye asks what happened to his code about not hurting women. He reminds her of Faith Roscoe. Don’t ask me who that is. I think that happened during the lost years. He tells Skye that she’s making herself a target.
Kelly’s Diner – Outside
Carly can’t believe Jax let her jump to conclusions. He wants her to admit that she still loves him. He asks if it had been better if he had slept with Alexis. Carly wants to end things between them. Jax is fine with that, but not until after tonight. He tells her that the Museum Guild changed their party from the Cosmopolitan Hotel to the McHotel and they both need to attend. Carly isn’t buying it. She leaves.
Kelly’s Diner – Inside
Scotty tells Lulu that they need to settle some stuff. Lulu looks confused. Logan watches from outside. She tells him that Laura’s in Shadybrook because of him so they have nothing to talk about. He tells her that if she’s looking for revenge, payback is a bad idea. Lulu asks if he’s threatening her. Scotty says no. He says that Laura wouldn’t want her to go digging around into bad things. Lulu tells him to stay away from her or she’ll blow his life apart. Scotty tells her she has no leverage. Lulu leaves. Scotty leaves a few minutes later.
Wyndemere – Study
Alexis is embarrassed that she caught Robin and Nikolas in a “compromising situation.” Nikolas explains that they’re “together” but that they want to keep it quiet for a bit. Alexis isn’t there to judge. She just wants to come back with Kristina to pick wildflowers. She leaves. CJC tells them that they’ll have to do a better job of convincing people of their “love” for each other. Nikolas says it will take time. CJC says that Nikolas is vital to his new identity so they both have to be convincing. He leaves. Robin tells Nikolas to quit antagonizing CJC. Nikolas laments that he’ll be breaking Emily’s heart with this since he cheated on her once before. Robin understands but it’s the best way to keep him alive. Nikolas asks how that’s going. Robin says no progress has been made.
GH – 10th Floor Nurses’ Station
Patrick asks Kelly if she’s up for dinner. She says no. Robin is a good friend and she won’t be the foolish girl next in line for his affection. Kelly tells Patrick that there’s an invention called a phone and he should just call her and talk to her. He says that he went to Wyndemere and grovelled and she still shot him down. Kelly says that something is wrong. She asks how bad the fight was. He says it’s no about the fight. It’s about Robin’s decision to live with an ex-boyfriend. Kelly tells him that he thinks it’s about sex but sex and living with someone aren’t mutually exclusive. Finally! Thank you, Kelly, for pointing out the obvious. She says there’s got to be another reason for Robin’s behavior, but Patrick says that he’s not going to stick around to find out what it is.
The Cellar
Jason’s looking around when he hears a noise. He pulls his gun and turns to find Spinelli. Spinelli’s bent backwards, all “Neo in the Matrix.” Jason is all “what the hell is that spasm?” Spinelli calls it the Gordonian Evasive Maneuver. Jason tells Spinelli not to sneak up on him. Spinelli didn’t realize there was a club in the basement. Jason says that’s the point. He asks what Spinelli’s doing there anyways. Spinelli says he saw Jason duck into the alley and followed him. Jason tells Spinelli not to follow him anymore. It could be dangerous. If he wants Spinelli’s help, he’ll ask for it. He doesn’t want to put Spinelli at risk. Spinelli says the message has been received loud and clear. He turns his attention to The Cellar. He likes the antique-y feel of it. Jason says it’s been forgotten and needs to stay that way.
Kelly’s Diner – Inside
Alexis comes in to meet with Viola and Kristina. They’re going to go to Wyndemere to pick wild flowers and then they’ll visit Molly afterwards. Viola looks concerned and offers to go on the outing instead. Alexis insists that she’s fine.

Ric comes to see Sonny. He appeals to Sonny, father to father and brother to brother, to help make the world a better place for his daughter. He wants peace. Sonny’s all “Yeah, right. And I’ve got a bridge to sell you.” Ric says his crusade is over but he wants to be met halfway. Sonny reminds Ric that he’s the one who started the “war.” Ric warns Sonny that this move on Alcazar is poorly timed. Stop before the people they love get hurt in the cross-fire. Jason walks in. Ric leaves. Jason is curious as to what Ric wanted. Sonny tells him: peace. Jason asks if Sonny buys it. Sonny says Ric’s been lying to him since Day 1 so he’s not buying his shtick. Jason says that Skye asked him to lay off Alcazar. Sonny’s all “seriously?” Jason’s all “yeah, but I told her bounce.” Sonny says they have to figure out a way to do business as usual. Jason thinks he’s found a way.

Carly asks Marty why she wasn’t informed about the Museum Guild party. He tells her that she told the staff to book any and all things to make them look good. She says that he’s right and she tells him she’s going to be working in her office. She leaves. Jax comes by a few moments later and asks if everything’s in place. Marty tells him that Carly was just there and she wasn’t happy.
Wyndemere – Study
Robin laments the fact that Patrick’s probably flirting with a nurse right now. Nikolas says that Patrick loves her, but Robin points out that she shot him down. It took a lot of work on both their parts to trust each other and now it’s ruined. Nikolas understands because he had to do the same thing with Emily. She calls Kavi and asks about the tox screen. CJC comes in. Robin hangs up but CJC knows that she scratched Nikolas to get his blood. Robin says that this can’t go on forever; that eventually, the poison will kill Nikolas and no counteragent will stop it. CJC says they’ll just have to learn to adapt then.

Spinelli sees Lulu. He asks her if she’s looking so thoughtful because she’s trying to decide on the 3ooges. She says it’s not and warns him not to talk about that. If he can just sit and listen, he can stay. Remember Jason’s advice, Spinelli sits and listens. Lulu tells Spinelli about Scotty pretty much not denying that he killed Rick Webber. She says that there’s nothing she can do but watch him get away with murder.

Maxie says she’s going to buy a car with her portion of the blackmail money. 3oop warns her to be careful. There are a million ways this could go wrong. Don’t forget that Scotty killed a guy and let a girl he loved take the blame. He’s not going to just roll over. 3oop doesn’t want to see her get hurt. Logan comes in. He says that Baldwin’s getting twitchy and they need to squeeze the lowlife until he bleeds. Maxie tells him he’s making it sound personal again. Logan says he never heard of Baldwin before but he let an innocent woman suffer. Maxie says that people have done worse. Logan gets a fire in his belly about having watched people in Iraq hide behind innocent women and children. He has a big problem with cowards. There’s speculation on the boards that Logan does indeed know that Scotty’s his father and is out to punish him for abandoning him and his mother. 3oop points out that Scotty could get violent. Maxie is sure he wouldn’t hurt Lulu. Logan asks if she’ll feel guilty if she’s wrong. Maxie doesn’t get what it is about Lulu that makes guys want to protect her. 3oop suggets dropping the plan altogether. Maxie says the beauty of the plan is that Scotty won’t hurt Lulu. She tells them to act normal and goes back to work. One of the things that I like that the writers are doing is having 3oop and Logan call certain guys by their last names. Every GI I ever met did that. Girls were called by their first names (unless they were in the service too) but guys all got called by their last names. Nice little touch of realism there.
Wyndemere – Study
CJC says he guesses he’ll have to teach Nikolas another lesson by withholding the counteragent. Robin says that Nikolas has a lot of people working on a new identity for CJC so if he dies, CJC will have to start from scratch. CJC says he’s resourceful. He leaves. Robin tells Nikolas to stay calm. Robin’s sure that CJC’s a terrorist so he wouldn’t have a toxin without an anti-toxin. She says that they’ll work together to beat CJC at his own game.
Kelly’s Diner – Inside

Wyndemere – Outside
Kristina and Alexis are picking wildflowers. Alexis is out of breath and has to sit for a bit. She tells Kristina that they’ll have to come back later because Alexis needs to rest since she’s not feeling so well. They get up to leave and Alexis passes out. Kristina tries to wake her but when Alexis doesn’t respond, Kristina runs to get some help. She runs straight into CJC and tells him that her mommy needs help.
Elm Street Pier
Scotty runs into Lulu on the pier. He tells her that he’s disappointed in her. She’s got Laura’s looks but none of her class. Lulu’s all “save it buddy.” Scotty says that he loved Laura. Lulu wonders how he can claim to love Laura yet he sat by and watched her lose her mind. Scotty says that Lulu works the angles just like Luke. He wonders how Laura would feel about Lulu blackmailing him. Lulu tells him that she’s not. Scotty says that she’s got no proof anyways.
Kelly’s Diner – Inside
Alcazar’s meeting with someone. He tells Mystery Associate that Sonny and Jason think that he’s incapacitated. This will lure them into complacency. And that’s when they’ll make their move. And instead of covering it up, they’ll kill them and leave the bodies for the police to find.
The Cellar
Jason points out all the pros to doing business there: service elevator, there’s a lot of foot traffic so their guys can blend in with regular customers, no one remembers the place. Sonny points out the cons: it’s Carly’s old nightclub, the exits are all wrong, it’s a perfect place for an ambush. He doesn’t like it.
