Friday commenced the start of the 24- like method of filming for February Sweeps.  I can just tell you right now that I will be behind most of the week so hang tight.

Metro Court – Outside
The opening shot shows someone looking through binoculars at the big Metro Court sign. It’s Cruz. He spots someone climbing out on the ledge and points it out to Mac. Mac asks if it’s a perp or a hostage. Lucky says he can’t tell since they’re all wearing black jumpsuits and masks. Mac orders all weapons drawn but no one fires until he says so. The person on the ledge jumps down onto a squad car, then rips off the mask. It’s Sam. She runs towards the cops, screaming that the lobby is wired to explode, and to get the people out. Patrick is pacing in the background. Mac orders tear gas, which the cops and SWAT (PC has SWAT?!?) shoot into the lobby. They move in, guns drawn. They start to bring out hostages. One is Nikolas, who’s carrying Robin. Patrick runs to meet him. Nikolas says Emily did what she could. Sam starts screaming for Jason. Nikolas screams for Emily. He runs back towards the lobby but is thrown to the ground when the Metro Court Lobby explodes.

That intro will happen for every “hour” but I’m not going to recap that every single time so just remember that it happens.

GH – 4th Floor
Emily and Nikolas bring Spencer in for a check-up. Mike, Bobby, Lucky, Lulu and Elizabeth are all there to welcome them. Bobbie says that Dr. O’Donnell is going to give Spencer a quick check up. Emily and Nikolas go with the doctor. Elizabeth tells Lucky that she prayed for this all to turn out well. Lucky agrees that nothing is more devastating than losing your child. Elizabeth tells Lucky that his proposal was beautiful. He says he wanted to tell her how he felt before and then he trails off. She asks “before what?” He points out that they’re having a baby and figures she’d want to be married before the baby came. Nikolas and Emily come back. Spencer checked out okay. Nikolas invites everyone over to Wyndemere to celebrate. Elizabeth says she’ll be there after her shift. Emily has stuff to catch up on at GH but she’ll be over soon. Everyone leaves except Emily and Elizabeth. They hug and then talk about the adventure, Emily’s relationship with Nikolas, and Elizabeth/Lucky. Emily thought the whole Maxie exposure thing would bring Lucky and her closer.

Strip Club I bet that’s one of Sonny’s club where Karen and Courtney used to work. I’ll have to see if I can’t find the name of it.
Pete sticks bills in stripper’s underwear while lamenting the loss of his fun-loving friend Patrick. Patrick’s bored. Bambi the Stripper comes over and sits on Patrick’s lap. Patrick says he has to call his girlfriend. Patrick gives her money to go back to the lap of the Cowboy she was on earlier. First of all, Bambi? Puh-leeze. So cliché. I’m sure the writers could’ve come up with something better. Second, no way a stripper would leave a paying customer in the middle of a lap dance to go over to another customer just because she thought he was cute. Stripping/lap dancing is a job, not a whim. Third, I realize this is daytime tv but those strippers are extremely clothed compared to how it is in real strip clubs. You know, ahem, not that I’ve ever been in a strip club or anything. ::avoids making eye contact with readers:: I’m just saying. Patrick finds a spot to call Robin. Mac answers. Patrick’s confused why Mac’s got Robin’s phone. Mac fills him in.

PCPD – Interrogation Room #1
Robin, Lainey (who, at this point, is one of the 3 black people left on this show. Diversity, casting people, diversity.), and Kelly (the only Asian in PC, apparently) are all handcuffed and still drunk. Cruz comes in and says that one Jacob Miller just gave a statement that says Robin assaulted him. Cruz would like to know what happened. Robin says the couch happened. This sets the Girls off into giggles. Cruz, who probably has dealt with a lot of drunks in his line of work, just half-smiles and waits patiently for the drunken giggling to stop. Kelly flirts with Cruz. I gotta say, Kelly’s kinda slutty and the way her voice goes up like 3 octaves is annoying. The actress who plays Kelly doesn’t do drunk very well either, unlike the actress who plays Robin. She does drunk very well. Robin’s rambling on about Patrick and Pete and couches and how very passive-aggressive men are when Mac comes in. He says that statements have been made, witness testimony taken, and Lainey and Kelly are free to go. Robin, however, has to stay.

Metro Court – Lobby
Alexis comes in looking for Carly. She says hello to Sam. They talk about her job. Sam says that if Alexis needs to put her on the stand to talk about that night with Ric, go ahead. Alexis says that family court won’t care.

Meanwhile, in another part of the lobby, CJC and Alcazar are meeting. You know what would’ve been awesome? If GH had done the split screen thing the way 24 does. Alcazar assures CJC that the shipment stored in the vault is secured. CJC isn’t so sure. Alcazar says that the vault is perfect because it has all the perks of a bank vault without the federally regulated paper trail. CJC says he’d be willing to take over the shipment now.

Greystone
Sonny’s on the phone. Carly walks in. She didn’t realize he was there. Sonny tells her to go ahead and stay. She tells him that what happened last night won’t happen again. Sonny says they could have a good marriage. Alexis comes in. She wants Carly to testify on her behalf at the custody hearing. Carly’s all “Me? Are you high?” She points out that Alexis doesn’t like her or approves of the way she raises her children. Alexis looks at Sonny. She tells Carly about getting busted for smoking pot. She would like Carly to say that the Girls were well adjusted when they came to stay with her for the brief time she was in the hospital and just that she wasn’t a bad mom. Carly says she’ll do it. Both Alexis and Sonny looked shocked. Carly says that it wouldn’t even be perjury. She knows that Alexis would do anything for the Girls. Carly knows that she and Alexis will never be friends but Alexis would be better for the Girls than Ric. Alexis thanks her and leaves. Sonny is astounded by Carly’s generosity. Carly says that cancer sucks and while it amuses her that Alexis chose to go the pot route to ease the suffering, she doesn’t begrudge Alexis the Girls. Sonny says Ric’s being a bastard. Carly says that Alexis knew Ric when she married him and that’s the one thing about love: you get caught up in the emotion and you don’t see the person for who they really are and you can’t change them into want you want. Diane comes in so Carly leaves them to their business. Diane asks Sonny if he feels guilty about lying to Carly.

Metro Court – Lobby
A waiter brings water to Alcazar and CJC. Alcazar tells CJC that he’ll get the shipment as laid out in the terms set by the 2 parties they represent. CJC gives us all an American History lesson about the Revolutionary War. The American Colonists were a rag-tag bunch that fought against the disciplined British Army and won. The point being that playing by the rules can cost you everything.

Near the front desk, Sam makes a call to Dr. Lee, only to find that Dr. Reed is seeing Dr. Lee’s patients while she’s out. Sam makes an appointment for 4:45pm. And there’s the first mistake of the timing for this show! You’ll see why later. Maxie stops by on her break to say hi. She asks if everything’s okay.

And in yet another scene in the same lobby, Skye meets Alcazar at the hotel. She’s his alibi in case the police question him. He wants to keep an eye on CJC because he wants to take control of the shipment before the agreed time. Hmm…now I’m wondering if he’s the guy who tried to kill Alcazar in the hospital. At first I thought it wasn’t him, but now I’m not so sure.

PCPD – Interrogation Room #1
Robin starts to cry when Mac uncuffs her and she tells him about Patrick and their problems. Kimberly McCullough does a really good job through this scene. Despite my disliking the whole Robin and Patrick storyline, she really makes you understand why Robin’s sad and confused by the whole thing.

Wyndemere – Study
Alfred welcomes Nikolas home and says hello to Lulu who’s come over to help. Alfred apologizes to Nikolas for not recognizing Colleen for who she was. Nikolas says not to worry since Colleen fooled everyone. Alfred takes Spencer upstairs to the new old nanny (she was the nanny Jax had when he was the dad) for a bath. Lulu tells Nikolas that Lucky proposed to Elizabeth. Nikolas says it’s kinda soon. Lulu agrees. Nikolas hopes that Elizabeth said yes or else. Lucky comes in and says “Or else what?” Nikolas tells Lucky that he and Lulu are concerned about Lucky moving too fast for Elizabeth. Lucky says that he and Elizabeth have a baby on the way so he has to move quickly. Mike and Bobby show up with food, then Emily. Elizabeth comes in not much long after. She switched shifts to be there. Lucky’s happy to see her.

PCPD – Squad Room
Patrick shows up to see Robin. Mac stops him. Patrick wants to post her bail. Mac says he’ll take care of Robin. Patrick lists all the reasons he loves Robin. Mac: “You’re a fool and she’s a dope. It’s a match made in heaven.” Patrick says he didn’t touch a single stripper. Robin comes out and sadly says “So there were strippers.”

Metro Court – Lobby
Alcazar and Skye keep up the pretense of the Valentine’s Day gift. Alcazar sets the lock on the case and has it go back into the vault. CJC’s on the phone, telling someone that Alcazar won’t give him the case so he’ll have to take it.

GH – Exam Room
Sam’s meeting with Dr. Reed to make sure all her bits work so that she and Jason can have a baby. If Sam’s appointment wasn’t until 4:45pm, why is she there now? Technically, it’s only 1:45pm. If her appointment were really at 4:45pm, she wouldn’t be having this conversation on Friday but Wednesday.

Greystone
Diane says the DA’s office admits it has no case. Sonny wants the charges to stay on him a little longer so that Carly won’t have an excuse to leave. Carly listens at door.

Wyndemere – Study
Everyone’s celebrating. Nikolas tells them all that they found Spencer and Helena in a cathedral so they went ahead and had him baptized there. He’s now Spencer Alexi Nikolyevich Cassadine. Everyone toasts.

GH – Exam Room
Dr. Reed tells Sam that she’s recovered fully from the ab-something placentia that happened with her baby. Sam thinks this is good news. Dr. Reed bursts her bublble though and says that she doesn’t think Sam can have a baby.
