–Carly, to Sonny.

Recaplet for Thursday, January 25, 2007:
Sonny and Carly fight and fight and fight some more, then they kiss.
Lucky asked Elizabeth to marry him.
And in the lamest conclusion to a plot line ever, Nikolas and Emily find Helena and get Spencer back.

Metro Court – Lobby
Sam not only gets Lucky the best table, but she makes sure that Elizabeth will get flowers and that some of the surrounding tables remain empty so that they have privacy. Lucky wonders why Sam’s so invested in him getting back with Elizabeth. Sam says that she knows Lucky and Elizabeth have been having problems and feels partly responsible. Lucky says it has nothing to do with anything Sam’s done. Sam says that Ric’s been hanging around Elizabeth a lot and if it weren’t for her, Ric would have a marriage to go back to. Lucky points out that he got hooked on pills, lied about everything, and had an affair. Sam’s not involved in any way. Sam says that everyone’s made mistakes in the past and that it’s admirable that Lucky’s facing his. In the background, you see Max walking the perimeter.

Bridge On The River Charles I don’t know the real name of the body of water they’re standing over so I’m naming it myself
Jason says he’d want his kid to have the best life possible. He doesn’t get what that has to do with anything since he doesn’t have kids. Elizabeth says that she knows he and Sam are trying so it will bring up new situations for him. Jason says that having a baby scares him more than anything he does for Sonny. Elizabeth asks if he’s talked to Sam about his concerns. He says he hasn’t made his concerns crystal clear. She says that they’re both keeping secrets from their loved ones to protect them. Jason notices that this isn’t the first time she’s mentioned keeping a secret from Lucky. He asks her what she’s hiding.

Cottage
Carly’s mad at sonny. She tells Michael to take Morgan upstairs. He won’t. Michael tells Carly that they’re finally going to be a family. Carly looks pointedly at Sonny. Sonny reassures Michael that, divorce or not, they’ll always be a family. He sends them upstairs. She says Sonny sat there and talked about respect but he has none for her. He says he’s not trying to run her life; he warns that something big is going down.

St. Petersburg – Church
Nikolas wants Spencer back. Helena says no. Nikolas says he’ll take him from her one way or the other. She tells him that she leaves with the great grandson or else he dies and she brandishes a knife. Why is Helena always brandishing these HUGE knives? She looks ridiculous. The Props Dept needs to give her a knife that fits her size. Nikolas swears to her that if she hurst Spencer, he’ll choke the life out of her with his own hands. Emily gives herself up in exchange for Spencer. Helena says ok. She tells Emily that Emily made a bad choice. Nikolas tells Helena to quit stalling. Renko and his men won’t be coming to her rescue since he paid them off. Helena says it’s ok. She’ll take Emily. She wonders which one of them Nikolas will see again. Emily wonders why Helena still assumes Emily’s helpless. They struggle. Emily fakes being cut by Helena and Helena runs off. Nikolas hands off Spencer to Emily and chases after Helena.

GH – ICU
Alcazar and Skye talk about their relationship. This shipment is a ticket out of the business. Skye tells him to stay put until he has to take delivery. The phone rings.

Bridge On The River Charles
Jason says she keeps doing this start/stop thing. Elizabeth says it’s just her mouth trying to keep up with her brain. She wants to make sure that her kids don’t have to grow up navigating minefields of secrets and lies. Jason wonders if she’s going to dinner with Lucky again because, deep down, she’s still holding on to hope as well. Elizabeth says no, that much she’s clear on. She has to go. Jason looks pensive and confused.

Metro Court – Lobby
Sam and Lucky continue talking. Sam puts the idea of reconciliation into his head, saying that Elizabeth wouldn’t have agreed to dinner if she weren’t at least thinking of the possibility. Davis gets her attention so she wishes him luck and leaves. Davis needs her to get a signature from Carly for an item that’s being deposited into the vault. Sam calls Carly and tells Carly she’ll be there in a few minutes. Sam sees Max and comments on how weird it is to see him there. He’s all “tell me about it.” She asks if he’s at least enjoying the job. He says that it’s not as fun as working for Sonny but it keeps him out of their business.

Cottage
Carly says it’s not about safety. Sonny makes rules and they fight. They’re better as friends. He says they’ve never been friends. Carly says she’s trying to move forward and Jax is her goal; he has to be because Sonny doesn’t respect her and Jax does. Sonny says he won’t lie about being lonely. He says that next she’ll be saying that Jax is better for his kids. Carly says she wouldn’t ever say that but Jax is better for her.

Metro Court – Restaurant
Man, Lucky’s there super early. Lulu teases Lucky about doing all this for her. She notices a box and asks Lucky if it’s what she thinks it is. He says yeah; it’s a long shot but he still loves Elizabeth. Lulu reminds him that the divorce became final 2 weeks ago. He asks if she thinks he’s jumping the gun. She does. He says he’s leaving the door open for Elizabeth to be honest with him.

Metro Court – Lobby
Cruz is checking up on the purse snatching when he sees Elizabeth. He apologizes for stepping into her business but Lucky is his friend and he’s concerned that any major upset will send Lucky backsliding from all the progress he’s made. Elizabeth says that she and the baby can’t be the reasons that Lucky gets and stays clean. Cruz says that everyone holds on to what they can to get through the day-by-day. He leaves.

GH – ICU
Alcazar gets out of bed. The shipment’s in town and he has to go get it and make sure it’s secured. Skye’s scared for him and decides to go with him as backup.

Bridge On the River Charles
Sonny and Jason talk about Alcazar and then Carly. Sonny tells Jason he needs to convince Carly and the Boys to move in with him for their safety.

Cottage
Sam gets Carly’s signature. Sam says vault was a smart idea. Carly casually asks if Jax has called. Sam says no. Carly tells Sam to tell everyone not to tell Jax that she married Sonny. Sam asks if Carly wants Jax to believe that she’s still waiting for him. Carly says she is. Sam gives Carly a piece of advice: when Jax calls, say that to him like she means it. Carly wants to know what Sam’s trying to say. Sam doesn’t see Carly as someone who does something she doesn’t want to do. Carly says she’s only doing this to keep the father of her Boys out of prison. Sam says sometimes life pushes you in a direction towards people and forces you to make choices you wouldn’t normally make. Carly sarcastically says, “I’m impressed by your philosophical insight.” Jason comes in and Carly guesses that Sonny sent him. She asks Jason to stay with the Boys. He goes upstairs to tell them he’s there. She levels a parting shot at Sam as she leaves: “I wonder how graciously you would accept your lofty theory about fate if it were your plans that got screwed and it was Elizabeth who was pregnant with Jason’s baby.” And that is the Carly we all know and love. She hates any women in Jason’s life.

St. Petersburg – Church
Nikolas comes back. Helena knows all the back alleys and tunnels so he lost her. But Spencer’s safe and Emily’s not hurt. 2 things. 1) Where did the priest go? 2) Is it me or was that whole thing extremely anti-climactic? We went though all that build-up of Spencer being kidnapped by Colleen and then by Helena and it ended this way? They really should’ve ended it with Colleen. That was a more exciting and fulfilling conclusion.

Greystone
Sonny and Carly argue some more. You know, this storyline is staring to grate on my nerves as well. Sonny’s behavior is bordering on stalker/abuser and it’s not fun to watch. Isn’t he supposed to be in therapy? Carly wants him to swear to her that the threat is real. He does and tells her about Alcazar suspending operations. He says he and Jason have followed suit. She makes him promise no romance. He won’t. They kiss.

Cottage
Morgan’s asleep on the couch. I wonder if the kid was really asleep and they shot around him or if he was faking it. Jason and Michael talk about Sonny and Carly.

Metro Court – Lobby
Alcazar walk into the Metro Court and see Max. They make threatening small talk. Skye and Alcazar discuss why Max is there. Alcazar wonders if maybe Sonny put Max there to keep an eye on him. She says she’ll distract Max when the shipment comes in. A guy with the briefcase walks in the door. Skye distracts Max with some story about a Valentine’s Day present while Alcazar gives the briefcase to Davis to put in the vault. While Alcazar’s filling out paperwork, Davis gives the briefcase to Sam to put in the vault. Alcazar asks Davis how secure the vault it. Davis breaks it down: My notes are very abbreviated here so I’ll just give you what I wrote down and you can make of it what you will. time lock and emergency switch. fail safe if triggered and lock down.

Metro Court – Restaurant
Lucky woos Elizabeth. He wants to put the past behind him and focus on the future. He loves her. He pulls out the ring and asks her to marry him. She doesn’t have to answer him now. She looks sad and pensive.
