–Epiphany, to Elizabeth.

Recaplet for Wednesday, January 24, 2007:
Lucky asks Elizabeth out on another dinner date since their first date was cancelled.
Ric visits Alcazar and gets an earful from Skye.
The only 2 detectives on the PCPD (Lucky and Cruz) wonder why both mob factions are being quiet.
Carly and Sonny get into an argument and Max ends up working at the Metro Court as the Head of Security (Wouldn’t they already have one of those?).  Oh, and Max gets a last name: Giambetti.
Nikolas and Emily arrive in St. Petersburg, meet with Russian Mafia, then find Helena and Spencer.

St. Petersburg – Hotel
Nikolas tells Emily that Helena chose St. Pete’s for a reason. it’s the ancestral seat of the Cassadine clan but it’s also home of the Russian Mafia. Nikolas is worried because Helena would have no problems arranging for his murder so that she could have the power. Emily doesn’t think Helena would kill Nikolas. There’s a knock on the door. It’s Arkady, who’s family works for the Cassadines. He says that Helena’s been spotted with “young prince” but she’s also got some mafia muscle helping her out. Some dude named Renko. Nikolas wants to meet him. Arkady leaves to set it up. Emily thinks meeting with a mobster is dangerous. Uh, duh! Nikolas says money talks.

GH – ICU
Alcazar’s getting dressed. Skye’s all “I know you’re not getting out of bed.” Alcazar says she doesn’t get that they’re out of time. She wonders if she can tell his associates to delay the shipment in order for him to be healthy and that will ensure that the deal goes through seamlessly. Alcazar says his associates are very short-sighted, but he agrees to try.

GH – 6th Floor
Lucky apologizes to Elizabeth for having to cancel dinner. She understands. She asks her for a rain check. Elizabeth says she has to check with Audrey first, but Lucky says he did so he wants to take her to the Metro Court. She protests, saying it’s too expensive, but he says it’s the least he can do. All the walls that built up over the Maxie thing are down and he wants tonight to be a new start. She says she’ll be there.

Not Starbucks – Café
Sam and Jason are having coffee and talking. Max offers them a refill. They say no. He goes back behind the counter. Carly comes back from Aspen. Jason tells her not to go back into the office expecting a fight. Sonny left her alone when she went to Aspen. She sees that Max is now a barista and gets pissed. Sonny comes out of his office and says it’s about time his wife came home. Carly calls him a jerk. Sam decides it’s time to get out of there and Jason agrees. Sonny and Carly argue about Max. Sonny says he can’t have a bodyguard who won’t have his back. She calls him a bully. She asks Jason’s opinion and he says that it’s Sonny’s bodyguard not his and if the bodyguard can’t think straight then he can’t be a bodyguard. Carly’s all “naturally you side with you best bud.” Carly tells Max that she’ll come work for him. Sonny laughs until Max agrees. Sonny and Carly continue to argue while Max eats a muffin and Jason rubs his temples.

GH – 6th Floor
Elizabeth takes a message for Epiphany. Epiphany tells Elizabeth to throw the message away if it’s Stan calling to say he can’t make dinner. Elizabeth says it was someone named Tyrell Quinn, who said he misses her smile and can’t wait to see her. Epiphany isn’t happy. Elizabeth wonders what he did. Epiphany says he left her with a baby to raise.

Bridge
Cruz and Lucky are looking at the warehouses. Cruz is suspicious that nothing questionable is happening and says that Ric wants to know why the mobsters all went on vacation. Lucky says he’s fine with it being quiet since he’s got another date with Elizabeth. He realizes that it was Ric who sent him on the last assignment that ended his last date with Elizabeth before it began. Cruz tells Lucky to be careful of Ric. They discuss Lucky and Elizabeth’s relationship.

GH – ICU
Ric comes to see Alcazar. They talk about the shooting and how the witness could be bad for him. Ric wonders what pushed Alcazar’s panic button and prompted him to not only try to shoot Sonny, but also to pretty much close down operations and Sonny’s too. Alcazar offers up a truce as an explanation but Ric’s not buying it. Ric says it’s the calm before the storm. Alcazar tells Ric to shut up or else he might get hurt. Skye comes in and threatens Ric with a lawsuit over civil rights. Ric laughs her off. Alcazar tells Ric to mind his business or else evidence he has might come to light.

Metro Court – Lobby
Max sees Sam. They discuss the fight. Sam wonders if Max really wants to work for Carly. Max says no but wonders how hard could it be. Davis comes up to find out what’s happening. Max introduces himself: “I’m Max Giambetti and I’m your new Head of Security.” Wouldn’t they already have one of those? I mean, Jax had the big bad ass vault installed so wouldn’t he also have a crack team of security experts too?

Not Starbucks – Café
Sonny and Carly are still arguing. Jason yells at them to figure out something that’s not going to affect the Boys and then he storms out. This sobers up the both of them. Carly calmly explains that Sonny made her mad by not taking the marriage as a legal tactic seriously. He asks about Jax. She tells him not to undermine Jax. He says he won’t, even when Jax calls. He’ll hand her the phone. Carly’s confused. Sonny points out they’re married. She can’t believe he expects her to live with him. She’s staying in her own home.

Metro Court – Lobby
Max is listing his qualifications to Davis. Davis is reluctant to hire Max because he doesn’t fit the image. Sam interrupts to pull Davis away and says it’s in his best interest to keep Carly happy. Well, isn’t that a little bit of irony?

Bridge
Elizabeth happens upon Jason and asks if he’d rather be alone. He says that he needs a distraction. They stand there for a moment in silence. She tells him that she’ll listen if he just wants to talk out loud since he’s done it enough times for her. Jason talks about the whole Sonny/Carly thing and how he feels guilty for convincing Carly into going along with it but he did it to protect Sonny. He says that Carly still feels for Sonny no matter how much she loves Jax. Elizabeth says that’s the problem with love. You can’t control when you feel it. Jason says that relationships are about time and change. Elizabeth wonders if you have to stay with a person to whom you made promises if they’ve changed and aren’t the same person they were when you made the promise. He says that you’re honor bound to try. She says that it’s so much more difficult when children are involved. She asks what he’d do if it were his kid involved.

St. Petersburg – Hotel
Emily and Nikolas come back from meeting with Renko. Emily commends Nikolas for being forceful and commanding. He tells her that money talks and he’s not even sure Renko will honor the deal. They talk about how beautiful St. Petersburg is and what it would’ve been like hundreds of years ago. Nikolas talks about the Cassadine Palace, and in the middle of a sentence, he realizes where Helena is.

GH – ICU
Alcazar makes the phone call to his employers and they say no go to postponing. Alcazar says he’ll be happy when he can destroy the phone. Skye wonders if that’s a possibility. Won’t his employers keep asking more of him? He says no because they won’t risk using him more than once every few years.

Metro Court – Lobby
Carly comes in and is greeted by Davis. She says she won’t be staying long. She asks how Max is doing. Davis says he’s taking a tour of the hotel now and he’ll make a fine addition to the staff. She spots Sam at the front desk. Carly tells Davis that Sam is a friend of her best friend so make sure she’s treated well. Davis brown noses like a pro. Carly says hi to Sam. Sam says she doesn’t want any special treatment. Carly says she’ll treat her just as horribly as she does the other employees. Sam starts to tell Carly that the employees talk favorably about Carly but Carly jokingly says she doesn’t want to hear it. Carly spots Max and goes to say hi to him. Lucky comes up to the front desk. Sam thinks he’s there to follow up on the purse snatching but he’s there to book a table for dinner with Elizabeth. While Sam goes off to make some arrangements, Lucky throws the pills in the trash. Sam comes back and says she got Lucky the best table and arranged for flowers. She says he’s going to try to convince Elizabeth to come back to him.

St. Petersburg – Church
Emily and Nikolas find Helena in a church, getting ready to have Spencer baptized as Nikolai Mikkos Nikolyevich Cassadine. Nikolas tells her his son already has a name.

Cottage
Carly comes home to find Milo guarding the front door. She storms in. Sonny says he’s making dinner. Carly tells him to go home. He says he’s moving in with her.
