Recaplet for Thursday, December 21, 2006:
Maxie “loses” the “baby.”
Carly sends Jax to go rescue Jerry.
Alexis smokes pot! (for purely medicinal reasons, of course).

Jason’s Penthouse
Jason’s all “drugs?” Sam’s all “I can use it.” Spinelli’s all “righteous!” Sam’s not going to smoke it but she knows someone who needs it.

Alexis’ Lake House
Kristina finds Alexis asleep on the couch and wakes her up. They curl up together.

Carly’s Cottage
Jax takes the call. He hears gunfire and then the line goes dead. Michael asks if Jax’s brother is in trouble. Jax says yeah, but that’s what Jerry’s good at so Jax will send help and stay in town to get married. He leaves. Michael tells Carly that if Morgan were in trouble, he’d go save him.

Alexis’ Lake House
Alexis comforts Kristina. She has Viola put in The Little Mermaid and sends Kristina upstairs to watch it.

Kelly’s Diner
Maxie falls down the stairs and cries “the baby!” Mike calls for an ambulance but Lucky says that will take too long. He picks Maxie up and carries her out, asking Lulu to come with him.

GH – 4th Floor Nurses Station
Ric’s there on official business but he stops to ask how Elizabeth is. She’s fine. Rick says they’re investigating if Lucky was framed. She says she hopes Lucky’s clean but it doesn’t change the fact that she can’t trust him. He asks about her kids. She says she’ll raise them on her own. He thinks that’s a mistake. It’s not a good deal for the kids. Neither is being in a family when 2 adults are constantly at odds. he hints that he’d be okay with Molly being in a blended family. Lucky, Maxie and Lulu rush in. Lulu goes with Maxie. Lucky tells Elizabeth what happened and swears he wasn’t on drugs.

Shadybrook
Nikolas has brought Spencer to visit Laura. He and Emily talk about family.

Airplane
Colleen’s on her way back from Denver.

GH – Room 405
Maxie’s crying. The Doctor goes to get an ultrasound machine. Maxie removes her “baby” and jumps back into bed.

Carly’s Cottage
Carly’s putting the final touches on Michael and Morgan’s costumes. Lady Jane stops by. Emily picks up the boys. Carly supposes that Lady Jane knows about Jerry and is there to convince Jax to go after him. Jax walks in and apologizes to his mum, but Jerry’s on his own.

Alexis’ Lake House
Sam comes in with Spinelli. Alexis isn’t in the mood. Spinelli states that he’s here to help the Mother of The Goddess. He pulls out the bag of weed. Alexis reminds him that she’s the DA but she’s too sick to prosecute herself. Spinelli: I have glaucoma. Trust me; it helps. Sam points out that medicinal marijuana is used all the time for chemo patients. Alexis says absolutely not.

Jason’s Penthouse
Jason’s on the phone with Stan, telling him to undo whatever it is that Spinelli did, including taking down the MySpace website. There’s a knock on the door. It’s Cruz. He needs to ask some questions. Did Jason plant the drugs on Lucky? Maybe he wants Elizabeth. Jason reiterates that he wouldn’t hurt Elizabeth. Whatever Lucky does is on himself, but Jason wouldn’t do anything to Lucky if Elizabeth got hurt. Cruz thinks that someone’s setting Lucky up. Jason wonders if Ric has anything to do with it.

GH – Room 405
The Doctor says he couldn’t find a heartbeat so he’s afraid she lost the baby. He has to do a pelvic exam. Wait a minute. With an ultrasound machine, he should’ve been able to see that there was no baby either.

Kelly’s Diner
Ric comes in to ask Mike some questions about Maxie’s fall. He thinks it’s a bit convenient for Lucky to now only have one baby on the way.

GH – 4th Floor Nurses Station
Lucky says it’s not the same thing that happened with Elizabeth. He’s visibly upset. Elizabeth says he can’t blame himself. The Doctor comes out and tells Lucky that the baby died. Now, I’m sorry but I have to go on a BIG rant here. There is absolutely no. fucking. way. that the Doctor would think that Maxie lost a baby. After the pelvic exam, he’d know she wasn’t pregnant to begin with, mainly because of the uterine lining. Stuff happens to the uterus when a woman gets pregnant and even if she were to have lost a baby, the stuff doesn’t go away the minute the baby dies. The body has to flush it out naturally or the Doctor scrapes it out because it can become toxic. I can buy that maybe Maxie switched test results at the hospital to make it seem like she was preggars but there’s NO WAY a doctor beforming a pelvic exam AND an ultrasound wouldn’t be able to tell that she wasn’t pregnant. Lucky goes to see Maxie. Lulu feels guilty because he never really believed that Maxie was pregnant. Lulu’s glad Elizabeth still has her baby.

Alexis’ Lake House
Alexis can’t have pot in her house. She’s an officer of the court. Sam says it’s legal in 11 states. Alexis points out that New York isn’t one of them. Sam harps on Alexis about trying it because it’s not just her there. Molly and Kristina are there too and they need her. What has she got to lose? Alexis: “My license, my dignity, my job.” However, the nausea is too much and she gives in.

Carly’s Cottage
Jerry will just keep pulling the same thing if Jax goes after him. Lady Jane gives them her support and leaves. Carly tells Jax to go after Jerry. If he’s in serious trouble, go get him. Jax doesn’t want to postpone the wedding and leave her. She says this time, he’s not abandoning her. They kiss.

Queen of Angels
Nikolas and Emily talk about Laura.

GH – Room 405
Lucky apologizes. Maxie says it’s her fault. She chased after him. He did want the baby and he feels like he failed her and the baby. Maxie grabs his hand and tells him it’s not his fault. She basically spins it so that she takes all responsibility and sounds all sympathetic.

Jason’s Penthouse
Elizabeth’s about to knock on Jason’s door but changes her mind. As she’s walking away, the door opens. Jason says he was just about to go look for her. He heard about Lucky. He invites her inside to talk. Jason tells her about Cruz’s visit. Elizabeth wishes someone would prove something already. Jason is shocked to learn she didn’t believe Lucky. Elizabeth says that she had been lied to for so long that she can’t trust Lucky anymore. She’s worried that Lucky will spiral downwards after the loss of one baby so she’s not sure how she can take away the other.

Alexis’ Lake House
This whole scene was SO. FREAKIN’. AWESOME. If you missed it, my little recap of it isn’t going to do it justice.
Alexis and Sam are sitting on the couch. Spinelli’s straddling a chair. Alexis tells Spinelli that she really likes him and she’s sorry that the pot didn’t work. She can’t get her mind off of potato chips. Sam says that she’ll get the chips. Spinelli’s honored to share his wisdom with the Mother of The Goddess. Alexis says she likes his beanie; she thinks she could go for a different look. He offers the beanie to her. He then wonders if she’s sure she’s not stoned. She says she doesn’t feel stoned. He calls her Mrs. Lansing. She “ugh”s and tells him not to call her that. She says she prefers Goddess Mother. She smiles. Spinelli smiles. Sam watches and smiles. It’s the smiling between Spinelli and Alexis at the end that’s hysterical. Because you know that if Alexis wasn’t stoned, Spinelli would be reduced to ashes.

Jason’s Penthouse
Jason wonders how Elizabeth would feel if it was proved that Lucky wasn’t using. Elizabeth isn’t sure she could make that leap of faith. Jason wants to know how she found the pills. She explains. Jason points out all the reasons it could be Ric who framed Lucky. Elizabeth’s not sure.

Church
Ric’s sorry he hurt Elizabeth but it’s for her own good. The priest tells Ric the end never justifies the means. Ric leaves. The priest comes out of the confessional booth and he looks a lot like Manny Ruiz. I wasn’t watching the show during the time of Manny so you all might have to fill me in on any back story that would make this whole new storyline make sense.
