Recaplet for Friday, December 22, 2006:
Everyone in town’s either at the hospital for the Christmas reading or at the Queen of Angels for the pageant.

Jason’s Penthouse
Jason and Sam come back with a Christmas tree. Jason teases Sam about coming back with a Charlie Brown tree. She says it looked like it needed love.

GH – 4th Floor Nurses Station I’m going out on a limb and guessing that the 4th floor has to do with babies and kids.
Elizabeth and Audrey are both on the phone making calls to toy stores. Apparently, The Toy to have this year is Chuggin’ Charlie but almost every toy store is sold out of them. Elizabeth berates herself for not getting the gift earlier. Audrey says she’ll continue to try and walks away. Lucky comes by and asks if he can escort her and Cam to the Christmas party.

Carly’s Cottage
While Carly’s putting the final touches on Michael’s costume, he asks if Jax will be back in time. Carly says no and also tells him that they had to postpone the wedding as well.

Queen of Angels
Nikolas admits he was anxious about Spencer in the pageant but he’s fine now. The camera moves over to Helena, lurking around. The camera then moves to Colleen, in her choir robe. She bumps into the Priest Who Looks Like Manny.

Elm Street Pier
Ned and Alexis run into each other. He’s in town for the holidays to give Edward someone to pick on. They sit for a moment to talk. She thanks him for the CD. He tells her she’ll beat the cancer. They hug and part ways.

Jason’s Penthouse
Sam decides the tree is a “he” because it gives off a masculine vibe. Jason’s amused. Sam reminds him that they need to get dressed for the party at GH. He says that he can’t stay too long because he has to go to Michael and Morgan’s pageant since both Sonny and Jax are out of town. Sam teases him about a double dose of holiday cheers and wonders if he can handle it. He says he can if she’ll hold his hand. She will because he sent Spinelli to Tennessee. Jason says his reasons for sending Spinelli to see his Granny weren’t altruistic. He wanted to give them some privacy. She said it was still a nice thing to do for her and Spinelli left something for Alexis. Jason is disapproving of the drugs but Sam says it was just one joint, not a bag. She wonders why it’s hard to help loved ones.

GH – 4th Floor Nurses Station & Waiting Area
Elizabeth tells Lucky not to confuse Cam. He says he’ll respect her wishes. He’s going to find out who framed him and make them regret it. Ric walks off the elevator, sees Lucky talk to her, and makes a beeline straight for her. He remarks to her that things look strained. Elizabeth says that she’s got work to do and can’t talk to him right now. He spies Alexis, Viola, Kristina, and Molly getting off the elevator so he goes to say hi to them. Alexis has Viola take Molly and Kristina to see the tree. Ric and Alexis are civil to one another.

Carly’s Cottage
Michael wonders if they’re still going to get married. Carly says that when Jax comes back, they’ll all go away together to elope. Michael’s still a little bummed that both Sonny and Jax won’t be at the pageant but Carly reminds him that Jason and Mike will be. And Christmas is full of surprises.

Queen of Angels
Father Coates thanks Nikolas for lending Spencer and for donating money. He thanks Emily for the Qs donation for the youth fund. He mentions that they have a new Youth Minister and he’d like her to meet him. Father Coates excuses himself. Mike shows up with his video camera. Nikolas shows Mike the manger. Helena lurks in the background while Emily coos at Spencer. Father Coates tells The Priest Who Looks Like Manny that he should meet with Emily Quartermaine. TPWLLM says “Emily Quartermaine? Yeah, I’ve heard the name.”

GH – 4th Floor Nurses Station & Waiting Area
Maxie’s complaining about the elf costume. Mac and Lucky want to know why she’s there, especially after her “loss.” She says she didn’t want to sit at home, feeling sorry for herself.

Robin’s looking at the tree. Patrick hopes she’s not blowing off work. He says patients need care. He pulls her into the hallway to smooch.

Jason tells Sam and Alexis he has to go to Queen of Angels. He kisses Sam good-bye. As he’s waiting for the elevator, he overhears Elizabeth talking to Epiphany how she can’t find the Chuggin’ Charlie anywhere. Epiphany tells her to check the stores in the smaller towns. Jason looks thoughtful as he gets on the elevator.

Queen of Angels
Alfred finds Nikolas, telling him the cops haven’t come back with the information on the forensics for the North Tower. Nikolas doesn’t want Emily told yet about what they found up there. I think I missed a scene somewhere because I know Alfred called Nikolas about the North Tower, but I don’t recall that anything else happened. Alfred wonders why the person who was being held up there didn’t tell someone in the house. Nikolas isn’t sure but that’s not the point. The point is that something was going on in his home that he didn’t know about and he doesn’t like it. Michael and Morgan and Carly show up. The Teacher calls for the cast. Mike notices Carly’s necklace. She says it was a present from Jax. Mike also notices there’s no Jax. Carly explains where he is. And, no Sonny doesn’t know about it and that’s the way it should be.

GH – 4th Floor Nurses Station & Waiting Area
Georgie, dressed as Mrs. Claus, comes upon Dillon and Lulu in the hallway. Dillon’s standing with no pants on, while Lulu’s kneeling in front of him, stuffing his fake stomach with more cotton. Georgie makes a snide comment about this not falling within the realm of helping find the real killer and walks off. I’m unclear as to why Georgie’s pissed but whatever. Dillon asks Lulu how that’s going. Lulu says that it’s come to a standstill while Spinelli’s out of town but that they just have to just find out who else had motive to kill Rick Webber. Monica overhears.

All the other Qs come off the elevator and wish Ned, who’s standing by the tree, a Merry Christmas. Edward and Ned do a little back and forth sniping.

Elizabeth brings Cam over to say hello to Lucky.

“Santa” comes in.

Ric comes over to Alexis, who’s chowing down on some cookies. She tells him to go spend some time with his daughter.

Queen of Angels
Jason shows up right as the pageant is starting. He waves to Michael and Morgan. The narrator starts the story of the nativity. Carly gets all teary eyed and searches for a tissue. Someone hands her a handkerchief. It’s Sonny. She gets up to hug him.

Back & Forth Between GH & Queen of Angels
Alan continues reading the nativity story. Maxie gets verklempt and leaves. Lucky follows. While Alan reads, it switches over to QA and you see people watching the pageant. Then the action switches back to QA with the shepards and angels and Morgan playing his drum. And then the pageant ends.

GH – 4th Floor Nurses Station & Waiting Area
Maxie’s faking being upset. Lucky’s falling for it. He hugs her. Elizabeth sees the hug.

Tracy wonders why Georgie decided to dress up as Mrs. Clause since she and Dillon already failed at the marriage thing. Georgie asks her what the point is. Tracy says Georgie should reinvent herself.

Edward invites Skye and LilaRae to the Q Mansion for Christmas. Skye says only if Alcazar’s invited too.

Lulu’s standing by the tree, a little sad about her mom not being there. Bobbie comes over to comfort her. Lulu says she understands why Luke always bails on the holiday. Bobbie says that, growing up, Luke always made sure they had presents on Christmas, even if he had to steal them. Bobbie then gives Lulu the gift Luke left for her. It’s ABCs last chance to schill Laura’s ring.

Sam gives Kristina a gift to give to Alexis. Kristina tells Alexis Merry Christmas. Alexis and Sam share a smile.

Maxie walks away from the hug, smiling smugly and knowing that she’s thismuch closer to ensnaring Lucky.

Elm Street Pier
Elizabeth’s walking down the stairs, arguing with a store employee about holding the toy for her. She hangs up the phone and sees the toy on a bench. She looks at the tag and it’s to Cam from Santa. Jason steps out of the shadows. Elizabeth thanks him and says he’s too good to her.

Queen of Angels
Michael’s excited to see Sonny.

Nikolas thinks Spencer looks happy. Emily goes to get a blanket for Spencer. Mike shows Nikolas the pictures he took of the pageant. And here is where I blast Nikolas for not picking up his kid and letting him get kidnapped. Why didn’t Nikolas pick up Spencer from the manger while they were cooing over how cute he looked? Kid was lying in a manger for lord knows how long without an extra blanket. Would picking him up have made it any colder? No! And if Nikolas were worried about the cold, why not wrap Spencer up inside Nikolas’ coat while waiting for Emily to get the blanket? Dumb dumb dumb!!!!

And we’re back to the pageant area. see what I mean about the editing? I realize they wanted the show to end on a “dun dun dun!” moment but the musical montage in between just was weird.

Max gets Michael into the car. Sonny turns around, sees The Priest Who Looks Like Manny, and panics a little bit when he can’t find Morgan.

Emily brings Nikolas a blanket. She goes off to talk to Mike. Nikolas is about to get Spencer out of the manger when he’s stopped by Father Coates, thanking him again. Nikolas goes to get Spencer but the manger is empty.
