–Skye to Alcazar and Luke.

Recaplet for Monday, October 23, 2006.
Elizabeth loses the results to the paternity test but recovers them at the last minute.
Maxie really is pregnant (gag!).
Lorenzo delivers Skye’s baby.
Alexis gets Ric to drop the charges against Jason.
GH
Alexis says that she knows what Sonny’s going to say. Ric hates Jason and wants to press charges for attempted murder. She then states that the charges won’t stick so Sonny doesn’t have to worry. Ric gets mad that she’s taking Sonny and Jason’s side. She grills both Ric and Sonny about the events that night and pretty much proves that it’s Ric’s word versus Jason’s since Sonny will lie and they can’t prove that he’s lying. She tells Ric to drop the charges. He has no forensics evidence, no credible witnesses, nothing. Sonny tells Ric that he’s got a lot to lose so he should stop pushing. Ric won’t allow himself to be blackmailed. Alexis says this whole thing upsets her and makes her think of her death and she’d rather not focus on that. Ric relents and agrees to drop the charges. Sonny leaves. Ric tells Alexis that she put on quite a performance. She tells him to consider it benevolent intervention. He would’ve embarrassed himself in court. Ric wonders if Alexis would be so quick to forgive and forget if it were Sonny who had been almost killed.

Still at GH
Patrick’s talking to a patient regarding surgery. They need the patient to fill out one more consent form. It basically tells the patient that Patrick was exposed to HIV. The patient balks at having Patrick as his doctor. Alan comes in and tries to reason with the patient but the patient would rather have another doctor, even though Patrick is the best doctor. The patient ends up dying on the table and there is much hand-wringing and scenery chewing from Robin and Patrick about HIV/AIDS and prejudice. This whole story line pisses me off so much. If the writers weren’t being so heavy-handed about the whole thing, maybe I could stomach it but today’s whole story line was basically a slap in the face to the viewers. “oh, poor uneducated soap opera viewers! we must bring the anvil of truth down upon you!” And the whole moral is that you bring your own death upon you because you choose not to let a doctor exposed to a potentially lethal disease operate on you.

And We’re Still At GH
Maxie’s making excuses for why she hasn’t set up an appointment with Kelly when Mac gets a call. He walks away to take it. Elizabeth comes in with the Pregnant Lady (PL). Kelly rushes over to help. Maxie looks somewhat relieved. Lulu comes out of the elevator and sees Maxie. Maxie turns around and walks over to Mac. Mac’s on the phone with the Mayor, telling him that he’ll be there when he can; he’s got other stuff to take care of. Maxie tells Mac that he doesn’t have to wait around for her. Kelly’s got her hands full so who knows how long it will take. She’ll tell him the results later. He leaves.
Later, Kelly apologizes for the delay. Maxie tells Kelly that Lucky is the Baby Daddy.
Maxie’s waiting for the results in the lounge. Lulu comes up and wonders what she’s doing: plotting more ways to undermine Lucky’s recovery? Maxie says she’s worried about her baby. Kelly comes over with the results. Maxie’s fine and in about 7 months, if she sticks to a regimen, she should deliver a healthy baby. Maxie gloats over Lulu.

And Yet More GH Happenings
Kelly orders a full work up on PL. PL Husband (PLH) wonders where he can get batteries for his tv so they can watch the game. Everyone’s all “uhhh..dude? Your wife’s having a baby and you want to watch football?” PL pipes in that she loves football and wanted the hubby to bring along the tv so she wouldn’t miss the game. After Epiphany wheels PL to her room, Kelly asks Elizabeth about the results. Elizabeth says she lost them somehow. Kelly tells her she can’t get the a copy of the results again for another couple of days. Elizabeth goes down to the entrance to see if she can find the paper. Lulu sees her and offers to help her look for whatever (Elizabeth covers and says she lost a bracelet). After talking to Elizabeth for a bit about the whole Lucky/Maxie thing, Lulu leaves. Elizabeth then runs into Sonny, whom she tells about losing the results before she could look at them. He says maybe it wasn’t an accident. Who does she really want to be the father of her baby? She’s not sure. She and Sonny both find the results. He picks them up and asks if she really wants to know. She says yes, so he hands her the paper. She looks at it.

Windemere
Colleen’s getting her freak on with a roofied Nikolas when Helena pulls her off of him. She tosses Colleen onto the couch and brandishes a very wicked looking knife. Helena threatens Colleen and says that silly little peasant girls get killed when they try to overstep their bounds. Colleen says she’s not scared of Helena and Helena tells her that’s too bad. She grabs Colleen and makes like she’s going to slit her throat but they both hear Emily’s voice. Colleen escapes and opens the bedroom door to find Emily standing there. Colleen starts the water works and gasps that she caught Helena trying to smother Nikolas. Helena denies it and says she would never hurt Nikolas. Nikolas wakes from his groggy state and wants to know what’s going on. Colleen ramps up the hysterics and says that it was attempted murder. Helena snits that she never “attempts” anything; she finishes it. She waves her knife at the 3 of them and says that Colleen needs to go and that if Emily or Nikolas won’t get rid of Colleen, then she will. She leaves. Nikolas thanks Colleen for saving his life.
Later, Nikolas is on the phone, getting a court order instated against Helena. Emily wonders if Helena was telling the truth.

Rancho Del Sol
Luke and Robert are trying to help Skye but not doing a very good job. Alcazar, tied up, is meting out directions: boil water, sterilize a knife, get some clean towels and blankets. Skye wants to leave but Robert and Luke have made it somewhat difficult. They disabled communications and all vehicles but their own (which Skye can’t ride in because it’s a bumpy Jeep) and they sent Alcazar’s men on a wild goose chase. Skye starts freaking out, which makes Luke and Robert freak out. Alcazar wants to be untied. He says that he helped deliver Morgan Corinthos so he knows what to do. He tells Robert to see how far Skye’s dilated. Robert does, panics, and leaves. Luke yells after him that he’s a coward, right as Skye has another contraction. She tells Luke to cut Alcazar loose since he’s the only one who knows what to do. Luke agrees and does. She yells at both Luke and Alcazar while giving birth. Luke is emotionally distant and doesn’t care who he leaves behind, while Alcazar is basically a thug and bully who kidnapped her and brought her to the middle of nowhere. She could be in a nice clean hospital with medication but he had to chase her. She has a baby girl.

the Lake House
Alexis is picking up toys and cleaning when Ric arrives home. He checked himself out of the hospital. They argue about the reasons why she would help Jason. Ric won’t allow Alexis to use her cancer as carte blanche to get whatever she wants. He’s done everything she’s asked of him. But what about what he’s done to her, she asks. He wants her to admit that she can’t stand the sight of him. She does. He incorrectly assumes it’s because when she does, she sees him as second best and that he’s not Sonny. She corrects him and says that she can’t stand to look at him because every time she does, she sees him having sex with her daughter.
DUN DUN DUN!!!
