Recap for Monday, September 25, 2006.
10th Floor Nurses Station
Elizabeth can’t believe Lucky used his badge to con a doctor out of more pills. Lucky says this proves that he doesn’t have a habit; his pain is legit. He wants to know the real reason she’s ending the marriage. If it’s Maxie, he tells her that Maxie’s not a problem anymore. Elizabeth rolls her eyes and tells him for the millionth time that it’s because he’s a drug addict. She tries to walk away from him but he grabs her arm and says he’ll never let her go. Nikolas and Emily come to Elizabeth’s defense.
Metro Court
Max swears to Carly it’s not a con, there really is water spilling out of her pipes. Carly says that the only spilling out of anything are the lies out of Sonny’s mouth. Carly closes the door on Max as he’s asking about the caviar on the table.
Mob Lair
Lainey says she needs a drink after watching Sonny lie to his kids (about letting them all live at his place if the house is destroyed).
Up On The Roof
Jason doesn’t want to lose the time he had with Sam. She stood by him when he almost died so he wants to help her with this Alexis thing. If Alexis dies, Sam tells him that she can’t let him help her. She needs to be independent, like she was before she met him. When they broke up, his life stayed the same, but she’s constantly struggling. He tells her that he thinks about her all the time, which is why he threw himself into work. He misses her. Okay, maybe it’s because I’ve always liked Steve Burton and I’ve always liked Jason (even when he was a goody goody Quartermaine) but damn. His little speech made me melt and I was thisclose to hoping they would kiss or hug or something (and I don’t like Sam or Kelly Monaco).
Mercy
Mac comes to the hospital and Maxie tells him everything: sleeping with Lucky, scoring drugs for him, the overdose.
10th Floor Nurses Station
Lucky tells Nikolas to mind his business. Nikolas tells Lucky to take stock of his life: no wife, no friends. Lucky says he still has his job (not for long, dude!). Nikolas tells him to go home.
Mob Lair
Sonny assures Lainey that the boys know that he and Carly can’t be together. Lainey points out that Sonny’s words and actions are 2 different things and that Michael can tell the difference. Sonny asks how she knows. She tells him about the conversation she had with Michael and how he believes “You and Carly belong together, Jax is just a [air quote] distraction [/air quote] and sooner or later, you’l get Jax out of the way.” Sonny is a bit disturbed by this and says he’ll talk to Michael. Lainey encourages him to change his behavior instead.
Metro Court
Carly and Jax kiss on the bed. Max knocks and tells her through the door that he’s sincere and that she’ll be sorry if she doesn’t listen to him. She says she’ll give him something to regret if he doesn’t leave. He stops knocking. More kissing and then more knocking. Carly opens the door and yells at Max. She tells him to tell Sonny that her comment on all of this is horse pucky. Max is all, horse pucky? And she’s all HORSE PUCKY! and then slams the door on him.
Mob Lair
Sonny likens Carly to the Enegizer Bunny. She keeps going, and she’s a survivor, and she gets up if she’s knocked down. But that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t get hurt when she falls. He knows that Carly can’t recognize the patterns of her behavior, but if he can see what’s going to happen, why not warn her? Lainey can’t fault his reasoning but she has big misgivings about the end results.
Metro Court
Still kissing, Carly realizes that Max isn’t really a good liar. He can’t look anyone in the eye, he sweats like a walrus (huh?), and stumbles over his words. Jax says there wasn’t any of that. Carly realizes this must mean that her house is flooding.
Up On The Roof
Jason says that he thinks that a way for him to get past everything that’s happened with them is to take her on a date. They start to remember the time they watched Gone With the Wind and that’s when he fell in love with her. Sam can’t talk about them anymore and goes downstairs to see about Alexis.
No Sex Palace
Carly and Jax show up and see that the house is indeed flooded. Carly is enraged and assumes Sonny deliberately sabotaged her pipes. She starts to storm off and Jax stops her. Take care of the house first, he says, and don’t give Sonny the satisfaction.
Mob Lair
Max apologizes to Sonny; Carly didn’t buy it. He says that Jax seemed to believe him. Sonny wants to know what Carly said. Max: “Specifically?” Sonny: “What kind of question is that? What did she say?” Max: (clears throat) uh…Horse Pucky. Sonny: “Horse Pucky?” Sonny tells Max to get a plumber over to the house and a construction crew in the morning to fix everything. But he wants the construction to take longer than it would normally. They both notice Michael standing on the landing, listening.
10th Floor Waiting Area
Nikolas and Emily are consoling Elizabeth. Emily gets paged and has to leave. Elizabeth thanks Nikolas for coming to her aid and for not telling Lucky about the baby. They both are looking sad when Sam comes up and misinterprets the sad looks and asks about Alexis. Robin comes up to talk to them about the surgery, while Jason looks on from a distance. Boy, if Carly was there, it’d be a reunion of all of Jason’s ex girlfriends.
Mercy
Georgie comes in to see Maxie. Mac called her. Maxie starts in on the “I thought Lucky loved me” crap and Georgie tells her to cram it. What Lucky did was wrong but Maxie’s not a victim. She was sleeping with a married man and didn’t care.
House of Drugs and Delusion (aka Lucky’s place)
Lucky’s counting his pills when Mac bangs on the door. Lucky opens the door and Mac knocks him around a bit. Mac tells Lucky that he’s not hauling Lucky to jail for 2 reasons: to protect Maxie’s reputation and the reputation of the department. But, Lucky better stay away from Maxie and he’s fired. Mac leaves and Lucky breaks down crying. Okay. I might have to eat my words. Before, I said I didn’t like how Lucky was acting. I do believe that these actions are consistent with how an addict behaves. However, I still don’t like the actor. I read a rumor (I forget where) that Jonathan Jackson might be coming back to replace this guy. I’m not sure how well that will work. Lucky’s supposed to look older than Lulu and I’m not sure Jonathan Jackson can pull that off. Of course, I don’t know what he looks like these days so who knows!
10th Floor Waiting Area
Robin assures them that Alexis is okay but still critical. She could still die. Sam goes home. Nikolas sees Jason and talks to him. He updates Jason on Alexis’ condition and asks that Jason respect Alexis’ wishes and stay away from Sam. Jason says he’ll respect whatever Sam decides. Nikolas accepts that and leaves. Jason asks Elizabeth to tell him honestly what Alexis’ chances are. She says that there’s always hope but it doesn’t look good.
Mob Lair
Sonny talks to Michael about eavesdropping and tries to explain how Carly and he aren’t getting back together. Carly comes storming in, pissed off. They send Michael up to bed. Then they start to argue. Max listens at the door and Michael catches him.
10th Floor Nurses Station
Elizabeth start to reassure Jason when her pager goes off. As she’s leaving, Mac comes up and starts getting in her face about why she didn’t keep better hold on her husband. Jason tells Mac to be mad at Lucky, not Elizabeth.
Lake House
Sam sit on the couch with Kristina and thinks about her and Jason.
Up On The Roof
Elizabeth is taking a breather. Jason comes up to comfort her and tell her that Mac apologized. She says Lucky’s a walking time bomb now that his career’s on the line and that Jason should watch his back.
House of Drugs and Delusion
Lucky’s putting bullets in his gun, talking on the phone telling someone he needs all of the info on Jason.
